We lost again. And the problem lately had been we were losing against teams we were supposed to crush. Bournemouth last weekend and now it was Norwich. At Old Trafford.
This was well below par. Yes, we were a team in transition but it looked like we had been in transition for too long. Even Ryan Giggs appeared rather annoyed and for the first time actually stood in the dug out. Clearly against Van Gaal's mantra of sitting still in his chair as he believed that he couldn't effect the players on the field once the game started.
Maybe the players needed cajoling. But clearly that wasn't enough.
Stranger things had been happening in football lately. Even the "Special One" got the sack. At least that man was asking for it.
Will Van Gaal suffer that same fate? Is there anybody available at the moment to be able to better him? Will Gary Neville return as the prodigal son one day?
We must improve. We has got the personnel. Obviously we would always be a few players short to be the better team but the rebuilding must have a direction. The worry now was I couldn't see where we were heading in the medium term, let alone long. And the short term prospect were clearly disappointing.
Will the winter bring changes? Or will it be more discontent?
