Tuna Will Be Wiped Out by 2012

Tuna will be wiped out by 2012 unless overfishing is stopped, environmental groups have warned.

If current quotas are maintained, the breeding population of Atlantic bluefin tuna will have disappeared in three years, it is claimed.

The population can only be saved by a complete halt to fishing in May and June, when the fish swim to the Mediterranean to spawn, the WWF says.

Radical man! Luckily I on take exclusively salmon sashimi. So it's not my fault.

United Airlines To Charge Overweight Passenger Double

It's a tough day to be a fatty: United Airlines will now require obese passengers to buy a second seat if they can't fit in the one provided. They join a growing group of airlines now requiring fat people to pay more to fly so other customers are more comfortable in the already cramped seats.

Since I am relatively small, will I only have to pay half the fare?

How You Wish That You Have A Twin

I read this article yesterday about a pair of twin in Switzerland who got away from paying their parking ticket because the authority cannot ascertain who was behind the wheel as both of them accused the other;

Swiss officials say they are powerless to act against identical twins who have run-up hundreds of parking tickets and blamed each other for the offences.

They say they cannot punish Harold and Michael Lengen, 38, for parking offences committed while driving around Winterthur.

Police say that in the last year alone the twins have collected 29 parking tickets on a car which they both share.

This brought back the memory of Raj twins, Sathis and Sabarish. They escaped the gallows after one of them were accused of drug trafficking. However as the judge cannot tell who was guilty between the two, she has no choice but to throw the case. They got away scot free as even the DNA evidence cannot tell them apart. Such luck!

A PAIR of identical twins reportedly escaped being convicted and hanged on drugs charges due to confusion over which one of them was the culprit.

The 27-year-old twins, R Sathis Raj and Sabarish Raj, had been charged in Malaysia with trafficking cannabis and opium in 2003. But police had trouble identifying which one was in possession of the drugs.

"This is a very unique case as they are identical twins. Even the DNA evidence could not prove anything as the DNA could be either Sathis' or Sabarish's," said High Court judge Zaharah Ibrahim.

Woman makes cup of tea after being shot in head

Police and doctors hailed the survival of Tammy Sexton, 47, as miraculous after a bullet from a .38-calibre handgun struck her squarely in the forehead, passed through her skull and exited through the back of her head. She is expected to make a full recovery, while her husband shot himself dead after the attack on his wife.

But law enforcement officers in Jackson County, Mississippi, were also astonished that Mrs Sexton offered them tea when they arrived at her home after the shooting.

The bullet definitely damaged her frontal lobe there. How come she offered coffee when she should be freaking out! Inappropriate behaviour that! As a doctor, I can assure you that this is not normal!

It Must Be the Food!

CAMBRIDGE BAY, Nunavut - A man aboard a small passenger plane fought to push open the aircraft's door at 23,000 feet over northern Canada and leaped to his death, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing with the door ajar, police said Thursday.

The Adlair Aviation plane with two pilots and two passengers was flying from Yellowknife to Cambridge Bay, a community in western Nunavut, when the man jumped Wednesday night, said Staff Sgt. Harold Trupish of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The Beechcraft King Air 200 twin-turboprop was about 110 miles (180 kilometers) from the Cambridge Bay airport when the man jumped, he said. Police were searching for the body of the 20-year-old, whose name was not released.

Wise move by MAS to cut down on food served on local flights!
