Pit Stop
A couple of hours down the journey, then my in-laws decided to have a stop at Tapah. They ended up having lunch, while we decided to have something lighter. And for the boys, it meant junk food!
Weather was sunny all the way, and there were hardly any traffic. Hopefully it continues to be smooth all the way to Kuala Kangsar. Another couple more hours I reckon.
Far From Perfect
No luck again as we arrived at Kuala Kangsar and checked into our room. We booked for a suite but Anita especially was mightily disappointed to find it at such a sorry state. She stayed here before and was happy with it.
Riverside Resort was now under a new management and the place appeared to have been transformed. There was even the obligatory name change to Safari Resort. Not an improvement I was afraid. But not to the level needing change of hotel - I didn't think we had an alternative here - like our Lumut trip. And there was no safari to boot.
So, no food at the hotel after lunch, the next plan of action would be to get some late lunch.
And not to mention the fact that we had to pay for the stay in advance, in cash with some key deposit on top of that. Put it diplomatically, we didn't come to Kuala Kangsar for the room ...
