A Heavy Dose of Sports #2.7 - ManYoo v Everton, Sunday 11pm
Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 7:21PM
Important match tonight. Better get the children to bed early. Need to go through the usual routine now. Sembahyang Maghrib, then out to buy Tandoori and Mee Ladna at NZ, in my ManYoo Veron shirt!
I will be blogging live during the game. If it works, maybe we all can have Facebook session during it. I know a few of my Liverpool supporting friend (losers) would love to do that. This post is dedicated to Wan Adrie and Ben Cheah. These two are definitely true Toffees. Not an imitation. So game on! Tonight ... it's war!

I'm writing with my mouth open wide. Look at the starting line-up! If it's not for Vidic/Ferdinand/Tevez, I thought it was the FA Youth Cup!

Key man is Fellaini. We need to keep him at bay. Here we go!

Half time. Still nil-nil. United played the better possession game but nowhere near forcing Timmy Howard for a save. Wellbeck is no winger and Everton is struggling to mark Tevez. We were also struggling to contain Pienaar who at times were having plenty of joy against Park and Rafael. Boy, can that Fabio play. A tough nut he is!
No changes at half time

The match never really picked up pace in the second half and surprisingly towards the end, United looked the fresher of the two sides. Maybe the plan to introduce youth in the team on this outing makes sense after all. Hey, Alex always knows best.
Macheda is off for Berbatov

Unfortunately a two senior players who bottled their penalties. On the whole, I don't think United did enough to win and the game fairly went on to the lottery of the pens. Who got the bottle win, and definitely Everton had the luck this time ... well you win some, you lose some, and you lose the semi-finals ....
