All Set

Started the ward round really early this morning. It was going to be a big afternoon forward Idlan. We were having a ceremony to celebrate his completion of the Quran, his khatam.

He had been practicing all week and hopefully he wouldn't freak out at the event. Anita had been busy preparing and I did my part in making sure the ward were sorted out early on. Hopefully there wouldn't be many calls coming in.

Another role I would be taking would be being the photographer. So, all the tools were sorted and charged. X-T1 with the 10-24 zoom, X-Pro1 with the 35 f1.4 and the A7R mark II with the 90 macro attached.

Here we go!

Not a Happy Camper

We lost again. And the problem lately had been we were losing against teams we were supposed to crush. Bournemouth last weekend and now it was Norwich. At Old Trafford.

This was well below par. Yes, we were a team in transition but it looked like we had been in transition for too long. Even Ryan Giggs appeared rather annoyed and for the first time actually stood in the dug out. Clearly against Van Gaal's mantra of sitting still in his chair as he believed that he couldn't effect the players on the field once the game started.

Maybe the players needed cajoling. But clearly that wasn't enough.

Stranger things had been happening in football lately. Even the "Special One" got the sack. At least that man was asking for it.

Will Van Gaal suffer that same fate? Is there anybody available at the moment to be able to better him? Will Gary Neville return as the prodigal son one day?

We must improve. We has got the personnel. Obviously we would always be a few players short to be the better team but the rebuilding must have a direction. The worry now was I couldn't see where we were heading in the medium term, let alone long. And the short term prospect were clearly disappointing.

Will the winter bring changes? Or will it be more discontent?

All Them Photos

One of the pain of coming back from the holiday was going through the photo's taken during the trip and trying to sort, edit and then post them. And by a lot, I meant for the Fraser's Hill trip alone, I must've taken something like 600 snaps.

Of course, not all of those needed to be edited in the end. Some were duplicates or downright ugly snaps. But most made the cut.

It had been a week, and I was till only halfway through them. With tomorrow's event, it looked like there would be a ton more to process afterwards!

Quick Breather

It had a few days since I last had the chance to blog. I had been busy with work mainly. I had three calls in between my return from Fraser's Hill and Christmas. I was now on the second and it had been a busy one.

At the moment, I was waiting for patients to be transferred to the ward. Finally I had some time to sit at the lounge and catch something on TV.

Full clinic tomorrow followed by Idlan's khatam on Sunday. Anita had been occupied with that and she was getting some help from my in-law's maid. It looked like I wouldn't be much of a help since I'll probably be sleeping tomorrow.

Better enjoy the movie while I've got the chance.

Afternoon in Bangi

Syahril and family had finally moved into their house which they bought about 10 years back. And yesterday, we were there for a bit of housewarming and basically all round good food. Minus Itul unfortunately who decided to move her knee operation date forward to the day before the meet. Silly her!

I also got the chance to put the new MPV into top gear on the drive there. We were late obviously as I could only go after my Saturday morning clinic, and it was just after 4 pm when we finally arrived there.

There were three main items, the roast chicken, laksa johor and some Korean sliced beef - courtesy of Azi and Amin - which made up the main dishes. Of course I had all three. And then came the famous banana toffee cake baked lovingly by Yatt.

All Itul got was some photographs obviously! And as for the boys, they skipped everything and we ordered pizza in the end. It was a great afternoon, but unfortunately as we didn't have a maid at the moment, we had to leave early. Plenty to do for Anita at home.
