Them Nippon Balls

Definitely colourful and attractive, located right in front of Fahrenheit towards the crossing to Pavilion, right between some building site.

I was sure it was sponsored by Nippon Paints, but this was the kind of colourful advertisement one didn't really mind. It made the area more distinctive with the rather sterile background during the MRT building around Bukit Bintang lately.

Looking at the exhibits closely, I noticed that each of the balls were made from different material. You had wwod, ceramic tiles, bigger tiles, cements and even glass. Clever and subtle. It showed that the paints could be used on any surface ...

Not sure for how long it was going to stay though. Better get snaps of them while they last ...

Labour Day Walk

Last weekend I was in Kota Kinabalu. And with the gorgeous weather we had yesterday, I just couldn't resist taking my camera out. I had to do some banking and pay some bills as well. So, it was a good enough excuse.

The after was just as gorgeous although Anita didn't let me go into town with the anti-GST rally going on around KLCC. Most of my friends were there, with their camera on tow. Some excellent photos to be had.

Instead we had a nice family outing.

But for now, let just stick with the photos. A couple of theme. Mother's Day was just around the corner and some cute paper flowers were on display at the Pavilion main entrance.

Across the road, there was also a small space right into of Fahrenheit with some cute colourful caricuture from a paint company. Nicely done...

Back on Duty

It kinda sucks being on call on public holidays but I supposed somebody had to do it. It was the middle of a long weekend and today, we had an isolated working day, with clinic this morning as well as on call the rest of today.

It would be an excuse to stay up late to catch the Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather big matchup tonight. As long as they show it on TV.

I have a couple of patients waiting for their beds, and at the moment, had been passing my time watching TV at the lounge. Hopefully the admission would come in during the day and I could have a light night later. Not too many admission so that I could enjoy what was left of the long weekend later.

A Wet Start

The prediction was it would be sunny this morning and tomorrow. But it turned out to be the opposite. It rained so hard that it was such a struggle to get out of bed.

The traffic into work was understandably heavy. Luckily today was a no clinic day, hence I could take my own sweat time enjoying the carpark that was Federal Highway.

The Boss is back!My senior colleague would also be back from conquering Mount Kinabalu. I spent the morning doing rounds with him before leaving for Ara Damansara to see a referral there.

Heavy rain while seeing my referral at Ara DamansaraBack for lunch before doing an early round to enjoy an early afternoon. The boys would be having a long weekend so we planned to go out tonight after their Quran class. Maybe dinner outside.

In the meantime, it was best to enjoy some down time. I would be on call Saturday.

Shorter Week

This week and the next would be a slightly strange one. Friday would be a day off, back to earth - in fact on call - on Saturday followed by another stretch of a break Sunday and Monday. And since I had taken Monday off, my clinic sessions were sit down and as a result, the open slot were taken up.

Thursday tomorrow meant no clinic, which translate to shirt and jeans with no tie. A casual day at the office. And it turned out that I didn't have any procedure booked as well.

Next week also going to be a bit shorter although I have another call next Thursday. The boys were planning some outings this weekend, but I have to work something out in my schedule somehow. I heard going out during long public holiday outside of town. Hopefully KL would be nice and quiet.

So, best to catch some sleep and have a productive day tomorrow.
