It's BSB

Anita couldn't hide her excitement when she vane across this poster while walking around KLCC earlier today. BSB was back, and they were hitting the KLCC. But it was later that bight, as part of the F1 festivities. Ironic as it would be on the same evening as the Earth Hour!

Better cut down on the electricities tonight boys. Or would they be going acoustic?

Another go at the Z10

Anita has never been a fan of walking, especially when we were talking about walking from KLCC all the way to Pavilion. But with the new walkway - fully air-conditioned - she didn't mind. It was a nice walk and on a busy Saturday afternoon with the crowd and all, we didn't really feel the distance. Anita actually stayed at Pavilion while I pressed onwards to Low Yat. I was there to survey for a laptop for the society.

While there, I finally had a chance to have a feel of the Z10. A nice slick device, fast and responsive buy with a lame camera. I meant proper lame. After about 15 minutes, I still couldn't make up my mind if the phone would be a useful addition to my daily activities. Will the connectivity be better than the combination of iPhone and Nexus 4 which I carry now? Maybe the BB Chat is by he only one missing, but I never had any investment in that. I still rely a lot on Google and the cloud for my productivity apps. I don't think that by he BlackBerry OS was mature enough to support my need at the moment. Maybe it would improve.

So, I would have to do a bit of homework and hit the forums to find out a bit more about the Z10. Maybe it could turn out to be a hidden gem. We shall have to wait and see ......

Poorly Irfan

When I arrived home, I found that Irfan was fast asleep, missing his Quran class. Anita was out at the time. Irfan is usually very active late afternoon, and love his Quran class since most of his school friends were there. He was baking hot.

The temperature soon settled after some mess, but I think I better stock up on some antibiotics from the clinic just in case. Poor boy ....

Post-call Lethargy

Just feeling tired rather than anything else with the on call last night. It was OK admission-wise, but the fact that's was at the mess until midnight, just watching TV waiting for patients was pretty exhaustive. After getting back to my apartment, insomnia set in. And as expected, the call came in just about the time I was about to fall asleep. So, the interrupted sleep made me groggy all day.

I woke up in the morning hungry. And right after I finished the ward round, I just had to sneak out for a quick breakfast. I didn't think I could function in clinic otherwise. That certainly hit the spot, and I managed to reach home early - just after six, after setting off early. And now for the weekend ......

Stocking Up

Did some groceries shopping on my way from ParkCity back to Subang this afternoon after realising that my fridge at the apartment was almost empty. And I would be on call tomorrow. Knowing my luck, I would always felt peckish when I returned after my late evening rounds.

Stocked up on the drinks and chocolate bars, and of course the microwave dinner just in case I had to see cases after midnight.
