Back to KL

The two day break flew like a breeze. We got back to KL before the evening rush hour, stopping a couple of times. First at Anita's cousin at Seri Iskandar, while the next for lynch at Tapah.

The Tapah stop was interesting. A new cafe had just opened. Spit and span, but now sure for how long. Food was average but at least then place was clean.

As we arrived early, Anita and I took to the cinema that evening to watch Divergent - more on that after.

So, backs to work yesterday, a drive to Park City and an afternoon clinic. Anita spent the day sorting out Mum's maid's permit all afternoon. Today, she would be with my Mum at IJN for tests.

A nice break, but I could do with another day off in KL, sorting out errands and my paperwork. I was still behind on bills and letters. I was on call today, so hopefully this weekend would be a quiet one. Plenty to do ...

Back to Gombak

We finally moved back to Gombak. My Mum-in-law’s maid was leaving for Indonesia permanently and at the moment we were in the middle of sorting out a new one. She needs some helping hand and Anita obliged.

So, the first evening we had yee sang before dinner. We didn’t have time to go out for one before the Chinese New Year, so we made do with what was around.

It was all the same. But it meant extra travelling time for me every day …

Couple More Patients

After clinic today, we had to visit a couple of patients. Not the one in my ward, but my niece and Mum.

My niece was admitted yesterday at the Paediatric Ward at Gleneagles after been confirmed to have dengue. She looked weak but it seemed that there were no complications. Her fever had subsided. Now we were waiting for her blood counts to recover. She should be in for another couple of days at least.

We then went on to my sister's place in Kajang to visit Mum. She had a cataract repair and lens implant done earlier in the week. She was doing fine and would need another procedure on the opposite eye in the coming weeks.

Homework Sunday

I was done with my morning rounds and seen the first couple of admissions for the day. Now it was time to chill at the apartment with the boys for lunch, while waiting for more admissions.

Idlan especially got plenty of homework still. I was pretty sure that when I was in school, we never had this much homework to do.

Sometimes I thought it was too much. Unfortunately nowadays homeworks were expected. And there seemed to be getting more, not less.

It was warm and breezy outside, and at the dining area with the windows open, it was certainly very nice. Anita and the boys were staying in since there were workers coming in to fix the bathroom all day today.
