P1 Connection Disription

My P1 connection at home had been playing up for the last week. They were nice enough to SMS me on the first day that they had issues and would be rectifying it soon. By little that I realises that it would took them the best part of a week.

It seemed to be only disrupting the connection on the widget unit. The main P1 node we placed at the main hall seemed to getting normal service. So, to get our normal surfing fix, we had to gather at the living room. No signal in the bedroom I was afraid. That also meant that no app updates for the iPad unless we went upstairs. I also had problem with updating my podcast since the iMac in the study uses the widget for its Internet connection.

This morning when I woke up, everything seemed to be fixed though. And I also heard the news that finally P1 was launched in Kuching. I therefore suspected that the engineers who were supposed to fix he connection in KL had been posted in Kuching instead ....

Rain and the Slow Internet

It had been raining all morning and even Puan Anita called to say that it was wet in Gombak and she had a nice nap after sending the boys to school. Lucky her. As it was today, on a slow Wednesday morning, I would go the apartment after having a quick breakfast in Bangsar. It was chucking down there and I was held up at the restaurant for a good half an hour. Not that I was complaining.

After the rain subsided, I drove to the apartment, and soon after, it started to rain again. And another thing I noticed. I heard that in the US, the FBI was implementing some feature to block Internet to sites known to harbor pirated documents and files. My internet had been damn slow all morning. Not sure if that had anything to do with what was happening in the States, but I was using the Time fiber connection. The usual speed was around 24 Gb. And it was sluggish.

Hopefully it was just a glitch. Time to get ready for the afternoon clinic soon, but it would have been nice to be able to takes nap before that ...... No chance.

P1 Downtime

It looks like I will be off the net - well off the P1 for the time being. P1 was doing maintenance in my neck of the woods this weekend. Good thing that we were planning to balik kampong to Kuala Kangsar this weekend. Idlan has gone grumpy since he was not able to get on YouTube. Kids nowadays.

Puan Anita has started packing. We will leave tomorrow after work, taking our minivan for the first time. Not sure if I will be doing the drying since our driver will be coming along as well. Since I was currently teaching in Kelang, I had to come back for teaching on Monday. Otherwise it could've been an extended weekend as Tuesday will be a public holidays. We were planning what to do that day. We may go up Genting.
