d7

In the past years, I have always been fascinated by the YTL initiatives timer brand Sentul. It used to be a predominantly Indian community as the railway workshops and hangers used to be stationed there. In the years gone by, the community there thrived but their sense of identity had been lost since the railway terminals no longer operate there.

To a certain extend, the area was under developed until YTL came into the picture rebranding the area and developing it into an urban commercial hub. That had been going on for the last decade and it had been slow to take off.

Slowly but surely, there had been new buildings sprouting up from this area, which were architecturally spectacular. And d7 was definitely one of them.

I had been a consultant for a company based at d7 since the beginning of the year and I often go there for meetings and what not. And today, I brought my camera along to snap pictures as the building was certainly unique. Sadly, the occupancy was rather low due to combination of location and undoubtably cost. Those who could afford to set up shop there would definitely appreciate how aesthetically pleasing the building is.

The tenants there were trendy, mainly architecture and design firms. My favourite shop there was definitely Smeg. I've been admiring their fridges for a while now. Shame that they had to cost a bomb. There were a few art galleries as well, which I have yet had the time to explore.

Security was tight. To get into the offices, you would need to carry a key card - which luckily I had - or register at the security desk. A pain to be perfectly honest. Luckily parking was free - covered slots at the basement.

Maybe in the future I would venture at the surrounding area as well. A photo walk maybe.

Mixed Bag

It was one of those days which begun so serenely. I was surprised at how smooth the traffic was as I madre my way to Ara Damansara to begin the day with a meeting there. Reached there on time, and the meeting commenced immediately. No time wasted. Great start.

I decided to only do the daily visit at SJ in the afternoon as I have no pressing matter there this morning. So, off I went to Park City. Again, smooth traffic. Where had everybody gone.

Finished my clinic and referral with plenty of time to spare before a meeting at 1 pm. Decided to go to town for lunch, and this was where the day was spoilt. I hit my side mirror on one of the concrete beams reversing out of my parking spot. Sigh!

The rest of the day just went by. Would have to get my side mirror sorted then. Would cost me a bit of money then for the parts. The day could've been better ....... well, it could've been worse ..... Have a good Monday all.

Long Saturday

There were not many activities during Ramadan on the lecture and conferences front. And right after Raya, everything seemed to be getting into heat. We have lectures and meetings held every weekend and yesterday, I went to one at Le Meridien.

Unfortunately I was too tired to get involved since it was post-call. I was too tired and at times nodded off. My afternoon rounds finished just after two but I decided to have a nice quite lunch before heading for the talk.

The end is nigh. This was the last talk of the day. But I had a meeting after that.Taking my boys off to dinnerWhat was this squash court doing in the middle of the mall? After the talk came the council meeting and dinner. I stayed until after the meeting but decided to leave before dinner. I took the boys out instead to The Curve, have dinner with them as well as do some shopping with Anita.

Day Two

The second day o the meeting was running well. And the lectures I co-chaired just now was memorable, given by two very famous international lecturers. An expert in indolent lymphoma and another in myeloma. One from Germany, and another from Turin.

And the data and the works that they presented and did were definitely world class. And it was a pleasure to have had the honour to chair the symposium.

My talks however would be tomorrow morning. I managed to pass on another portion of my talk to another speaker, allowing me to enjoy listening to more lecture that morning.

We were just listening to the lunch symposium now before a short afternoon break. More talks this afternoon, and I planned to head over to Kepala Batas right free for dinner with my family in Sungai Petani.

Morning Meeting

An early start to the morning and instead of Subang, I would start my day at Ara Damansara for a quick - hopefully - meeting. Transfusion meeting, held every six months there.

Then it would be Subang for my ward rounds before heading out to ParkCity for my morning clinic. Quick lunch, and then back to Subang for the afternoon clinic. Now, that would be a long day ......
