The First Half

My shopping was halfway done. Most o the boys' toys had been bought and next non the card would e shopping for Puan Anita. I had to get back to the conference centre by lunch to attend a couple of afternoon sessions. So, the other half of my shopping would be for later.

Went to Kyoto Station this morning, and spent the morning shopping around there. There was an Isetan at the station, but I decided against going there. I went to a toy store instead. To avoid the rain, I just used the underground passageway to get to the supermarkets.

For lunch, I met up with a couple of Pharma friends who were with me during the Atlanta trip last December. We had some tempura before hauling my shopping back to the hotel before attending the afternoon session.

Next Task, Pack!

I managed to get to the mall straight after the morning session and got my new extra luggage bag. Next task was to get back to the hotel room pronto, pack, and check out. Hopefully that would be before noon. There is another session going on then. My transport from the hotel to the airport would be at 2 pm. Should have plenty of time.

I might have to buy some titbits at Heathrow later. As for now, I should be done. More on the Atlanta trip here.

Time to Pack

Right. Its five in the morning. And I didn't get a good rest. Was interrupted again by phone calls from Malaysia, and just couldn't get back to sleep. It looked like I would suffer during the talks later.

So, have to get on with the packing. I think 20 minutes should do it. But first, I need a shower.

Crocs for Idlan

We were about to leave Pavilion for the park when the heaven opened again. And it opened big time. Big enough that later that afternoon, SMART tunnel was closed. Luckily we passed through the tunnel half an hour before it was closed. Traffic was still smooth then, and there were no sign of flooding. Yet.

Anyhow, the change of plan as far as the park was concerned cost me money. Idlan had outgrown his last Croc, and wanted a new one. But we had a bit of an issue. The biggest children size was too small, and the smallest Junior size was too big.

We went for the bigger one and it looked like he would have to wear socks to fit in for the next few months. In terms of choice, the Croc shop at Pavilion proved disappointing. There was not much choice in terms of models, and they ran out on some of the sizes. For such a busy outlet, they should make provisions, or at least move to a bigger store. But well, who am I to tell them how to do their business. At least, they had enough staff to cope with the number of customers.
