EdpressSushi is Moving

I knew that I will be craving it during the upcoming Ramadhan, so I decided to indulge for lunch today at the usual spot at Great Eastern Mall.

The place was full today, being a Sunday lunch time, and we were also informed that our beloved EdpressSushi will be moving to another spot - which happened to be where one of our friend was living - after Raya later. They had been at the spot since 2009. Not sure if we could go there as frequently as we were doing now since the current shop was directly in front of the supermarket where we sometimes do our groceries. Kinda tied in with our routine.

I think he's trying to break the tip jar!Anyhow, they had to move on. Maybe once in a while we would drop by to catch up. The boys were still babies when they started going there.

Fancy a Dip?

After finishing his homework, Idlan asked if he could go to the pool for a dip. Initially I was hesitant since it had been raining in late afternoons lately. Luckily for today, the rain came early. By the time we went down, the drizzle had stopped and the pool was empty!

Party time! Couldn't hang around for too long though since it was almost Maghrib!

Sunday Afternoon in Town

It has been a while since I had the chance to get my camera out for a free spin. It was a Sunday and frankly, I had done my chores and was looking forward to a quick lunch with Anita. I had some time after lunch for a quick walk.

After late lunch at Pavilion, I took the M-P out around Bukit Bintang. The weather was not too inviting and to be frank, it was threatening to rain all afternoon. Not exactly conducive for a photowalk, but I must not complain.

There was nothing much going on there at the moment. I guessed, with Ramadhan coming up soon, the decor would be gearing up to that. Anita did her shopping, while I just hang around for a while. I was too lazy to walk all the way to Low Yat, and soon turned back. I settled for a quiet coffee instead.

Sunday Morning at Kiara Park

The Max Family had been active over the years and every few months, they would have events targeting new CML patients. This time around they decided to do in an informal setting.

I was asked to join them for a Sunday morning "walk" at Kiara Park, near Taman Tun. The target was mainly those recently diagnosed with CML as an introduction to support group as well as disseminating information about their disease and treatment.

A bit of taichi to start the day offLush greenery

We started off early at around 7.30, but it was clearly not early enough. The park was already full at the time I arrived and getting a parking slot was a challenge. I ended up finding a spot 10 minutes away from the park, which was an exercise on its own.

The meet was very well organised. We were divided into three groups with me taking the first Malay group. After a 20 minutes walk around the busy park, we found a shaded space to sit and started the proceeding.

And then the real work begin ...

My group was further divided into two, ending up with around 15. It was an open discussion although they were rather timid at the start. By the end, the floodgates opened and it was a challenge to get away. I had to do my ward round by 10!

The format itself was good, although I wished that the parking would be easier. We did cover a lot during the session and hopefully the patients would get some benefit from the session. The park itself was great, although crowded on a Sunday morning.

Taking Shelter

I arrived at Lebuh Ampang quite early. There was a stage already set up but nobody's playing. The comedy show I was waiting to see was some time away. And it threatened to rain.

Time to make a timely escape. Rather than going into the Urbanscapes House, I decided to walk on to Central Market. I parked myself at one of the cage and had some drinks.

Might as well order something for the afternoonI was still there an hour later with the sound of thunder ringing outside. Not the time to go yet. But the owner - a fierce-looking Chinese lady - was giving me the look. She sent her waiter a couple of times to clear my table. Luckily there were a few European visitors occupying the table next to me, and they were still there. I guess I would be pretty safe.

The weather didn't seem to let up. I was practically stuck here as I parked my car at Nu Sentral. I'll give it another 30 minutes before making my move...
