15Malaysia - video 7
I must say among the 15Malaysia video posted so far, this is the most artsy one. In my book, artsy does not necessarily translate to the bast and this one is certainly not my cup of tea - or any of your preferred beverages.

This one leaves a lot to the imagination and it was clearly an attempt at reverse psychology, or I think it is. A bunch of Chinese beat up a Malay teenage into a coma. The witness, another Chinese teenage came forward to be the witness, even having a recording of the incident on his mobile. If the situation is the other way around, a Chinese being beaten up by a bunch of Malays, would Malay witness came forward. Or worst still, would the father of the witness drive him to the Police Station? Go figure.
A silly one this one, and you must have a sense of humour! I was laughing until I cried!
I'm still yet to figure out the ending although I understood what it was trying to say. A special appearance by the late Yasmin Ahmad.
This is a poignant one. It carries a deep meaning, be it you are a Muslim or not. After looking at this, you will realise that the Tok Guru is more than just a mere politician. Great advise in here. This video is centered on a simple piece of advise given by Datuk Nik Aziz to the director. So simple, yet so effective.
I have a mixed feeling about this one. Maybe because I was expecting so much more, considering it features Sharifah Amani, directed by the Allahyarham Yasmin and having Pete Teo in the credit role as well. It was slow-paced, and typical of Yasmin's work, it explored the nuances of multiracial Malaysia. Some my say that it may be harsh to comment of story development and character arch in a 3 minute feature, but if you look the 'Potong Saga', despite being just a minute longer, it did just that. Maybe the story will grow on me, I don't know. Enjoy;
Finally managed to surf across the much touted 15malaysia program. It is a series of 15 short clips submitted to a website that will showcase them in time. The videos are currently being released every other day and I managed to catch the first three.
The first one was really funny. It is basically about a young Chinese guy who was keen to open an Islamic bank account. He was rather misinformed that he will have to undergo a certain ritual before he can do so. Have a look;
