Juicing the Kit Kat

I can say that there was no real noticeable difference since the upgrade so far except for the battery live. I have yet to charge my Nexus 7 since the morning although I had been with it almost constantly with push options turned on via my mobile network. I still have 37% on the battery indicator.

Is that a good sign? I sure hope so, even though I don't have any games installed on the unit. I had watched a few YouTube video though.

There were mentioned that battery optimisation was one of the key features of the new update. Hopefully it lives up to the billing. In the meantime, I would continue to be online until I go to bed, and would not charge until I wake up in the morning. If there is still juice, then I would be really impressed. Watch this space ...

This also made me wonder if the update on my Nexus 4 would prolong its battery live. The battery really sucks on that phone, and it would be nice if there is improvement even though I would only have wifi on it.

Drizzled

How I wished I was in bed all morning rather than having to travel across town on this cool morning. It rained in the early hours and by the time I was about to leave at 7 in the morning, it really poured.

Traffic was smooth until I reached PJ. Then Federal Highway started to clog up. And it continued so until after 10 am. I could see the bad flow from the window of my clinic. And then I felt lucky that I set off really early.

I think it would start to rain again soon. Hopefully I could escape before it start to pour ...

I Got Kit Kat

Finally the download arrived. My Nexus 7 received the OTA downloads overnight and when I disconnected it from the charger, all I needed to do was to press the agree button and the update would just begin.

10 minutes later, I was up and running. Any difference? Nothing noticeable thus far except the colour of the top status bar. Not the Nexus 4 yet. And my HTC One only got 4.3 last week. It would be some time before Kit Kat arrives there.

Let's see if anything new to discover here ....

Slow Morning

Still disappointed with last night's result, I was slow getting out of bed. There was no real rush really as there was no rush for the toilet and the traffic getting to Subang was nice and flowing. I actually reached work earlier than usual, listening to podcasts as usual.

Then came the drive to Park City. Again, it was pleasant. This afternoon, I decided to head back to Subang instead of having lunch at Bangsar as I have a case review. Therefore, I had some extra time to sit at the lounge after having my lunch.

Afternoon clinic next before driving back. The evening drive would be a slow one ....

How Could I Cope?

Just had dinner and was flipping through the channels on TV. Man Citeh playing Spurs. Right before United travel to Cardiff. And all this while Formula 1 was going on. The last ace for the season. Not much riding on the race but it would be he swan song for Mark Webber.

So, just plotting out about how I would cope tonight .....
