Maverick or Mavericks

Was this coincidence or was this a sign? 5.5 GB of download would require some serious bandwidth, but I was sure the apartment fiber could handle that.

There seemed to be plenty of upgrade in the new OS, but I wonder if my ageing lappy and iMac could cope with the new programs.

But for the time being, let just enjoy the movie .....

Sunday Afternoon

It was a long day yesterday. My rounds ended very late with a couple of emergency. This was followed by the ritual of getting tandoori as Manchester Unites was playing last night.

I managed to sleep before the match started, ending up having my dinner during halftime. To make matters worse, Southampton managed a late equaliser at Old Traffic. A terrific game through and I must say that a draw was more than what United deserved. Soton really bossed the game for long periods although we had more clear cut chances. Shame that we kept hitting either the post or the keeper.

Early start this morning, with the round stretching to lunchtime, in time to attend a couple of weddings.

So, I decided to take it easy this afternoon. I went out with Anita for a nice meal, and a leisurely walk around KLCC.

China Treasure

Anita has been going to this restaurant for the last few months, after being introduced by one of her friends. China Treasure is a restaurant at Sime Darby Convention Centre. And their specialty was dim sum, which was ideal for quick lunches. When I was there yesterday, it was mainly people in suits. I was in T-shirt of course.

This being a Sime Darby property, I got to enjoy some staff discounts. And it was quite sizeable.

They have both ala carte and buffet. Buffet went for RM 50 per head, and at the rate I was going, that was a good deal. And the food was excellent. They were better with steamed items. The fried ones appeared pretty standard.

The ambiance was fine, parking was easy and the staffs were friendly.

We went for ala carte yesterday as I wasn't sure how the food would be like. Would definitely be buffet next time I stop by.

The Next Day

For to bed early last night. All four of us. But still, I had to drag Irfan out of bed this morning. He was real sleepy, despite sleeping most of the way yesterday. Cheeky as usual.

So, with me still on holiday - I delayed my morning rounds this morning - I took the boys to school. Havoc in the car. I was glad to finally eject them out! So, Anita and I had the time to have breakfast together.

Then she followed me to the hospital when I did my quick rounds before going out to lunch together - at Sime Darby Convention Center which was worth another entry.

We had a lovely afternoon and were now sleepy from too much eating. The plan was to do a quick grocery before picking the boys up from school, before going out for a movie.

That would occupy the rest of the day. In time to sleep, and another day on call tomorrow.

10 and a Half

It finally took us ten and a half hours to reach Gombak from Kota Bharu. And the main reasons were traffic lights at the towns along the way.

The worst one was when we were exiting Bentung. A six km tailback just to pass one stupid traffic light. And 5 minutes after that we were on the Karak Highway. What a waste of time!

An overnight rest before settling some business tomorrow. Still on leave but some things at work needed sorting out .....
