An Important Win

It has been a while since I rang about football. Truth be told, the last few Saturday nights had been agony. Somehow, the mojo seemed to be lost in the closet in the last few months and winning seemed to take more than just effort. But tonight, hopefully the turnaround win would galvanize the team and would be the first step in finding our mojo back.

I had to admit that little Adnan made the impact tonight. Since coming in, we seemed to be more balanced as a team, and the pace of the attack seemed to pick up. I thought that Carrick were the one who tended to slow the lace down, but Cleverley was clearly was not clever last night. He was the weak link.

With Adnan replacing Nani - who had a promising opening few moments before fleeting off the game when Stoke scored - and Rooney dropping into midfield when Chicarito took over from Cleverley, we started to tick. As soon as the equaliser arrived, there was only one winner. And Chica did not disappoint.

It nay just appear to be a home win on paper, but the manner of the victory meant a lot for the team's morale. We need to cope better physically - Stoke was just plain nasty at times - and must be stronger at important moments of games. Hopefully this win would be the turning point to David Moyes' reign at Old Trafford.

Streetview Coming to Town

Better take cover boys and girls. The Google Streetview was hitting KL and the camera vehicle was on show at Suria this weekend.

It wasn't manned though and not much information about the car. Nothing exceptional apart form the ball-shaped camera protruding up on the roof. And GPS antenna of course.

Fully expecting to see one of those getting stuck in the KL traffic jam for sure. Because otherwise, it won't be real KL!

Friday Evening Outing

After a couple of weekends lapse, and of course the two of us being ill in the middle of the week, Friday evening was a welcome relief. We went out, as per tradition. Irfan asked earlier in the evening for dinner at Marche. So, we obliged.

No new movies, so it was dinner and a quick walk around the mall. Plenty of Halloween costumes and decorations around the mall, so was Deepavali which would be next weekend. The place was pretty colourful and happening.

Marche was pretty packed that evening and I must say, the quality of the food had definitely been deteriorating in the last year or so. Shame really. We loves the place.

But the walk in the open air in evening breeze was priceless.

Mavericks!

Decided to take things easy this morning. Got my rounds and clinic sorted out early and then packed my lunch and headed out to the apartment and just chilled there. Watched a bit of TV, a good movie on Sundance actually.

And the main thing - updated both my iPhone and then MacBook to Mavericks. Painless than I thought and I updated the rest of then iWork suite while I was at it.

Still yet to try the softwares extensively as I was just about to leave for the afternoon rounds. But a couple of thing I realised, Safari felt faster and the Map app looked cool. Not something which I would use daily.

The update also killed a number of my third party apps as well. 1Password was not on by default and I had to migrate all my password to iCloud Keychain. TextExpander was also disabled, but I was sure the updates would be coming soon. Both Aperture and Photoshop seemed to be functioning OK. I would be looking at Keynote later today when I reach home.

Rough Couple of Days

It certainly had been havoc in our household. On Monday evening, Anita prepared some meal for the both of us, and overnight, I felt rather sick. I didn't think much about it at the beginning and pressed on to work the next day. And a busy day it was.

Then in the afternoon, Anita called to say that she had been sick all day and started to develop a temperature. Something was wrong then.

As soon as I reaches home, I started to develop high temperature as well. After a few trips to the toilet, I started to have a headache. Likely it was down to dehydration.

The whole night was bad. The both of us took turns to hit the toilet. Anita hardly had any sleep. I got up a few times as well, which was handy as Apple was announcing the new iPad that same night. Anita was not amused though.

Today, I had the driver to take me around as I had to attend to my clinic at Park City as well as Subang. A nice day to be driven around.

At least the boys did not have the dinner that evening. They were both OK. We were both feeling better tonight, but I had started Anita on antibiotics and plenty of fluids. I don't want her to get admitted again.
