Detour to Bangsar

The traffic this morning was a lot better than Monday. Might as well as I had to take a detour during lunchtime today. I had some documents needed signing and varified by a Commisioner of Oath. Luckily I knew of one in Bangsar - been to see the Uncle a few times and he was really accommodating.

So, got all the documents ready overnight and all that needed doing was a few stamps and signatures. The problem was making my way to Bangsar in between my clinics. As a result, I might have to rush around a bit before my afternoon clinic.

I just remembered that there was a lunch meeting arranged by one of the Pharmaceutical company. I might be able to make it if I was quick ...... Hmmmm! Shall I?

Give me the Rocket

Anita had been watching too much Nigella Lawson I thought. Guess what she prepared for me last night? A bowl of rocket salad. My favourite. Complete with balsamic vineger!

I tell you, she is a keeper! Thanks Love!

How's the Water?

At least the crisis about water had died down and the talk about town was the petrol hike last night. And the talk was loud, the natives were restless, the barbs traded in Facebook were pretty vicious, some civilised, but some less so.

All in all, the hike was seen coming, with the devaluation of Ringgit against the US Dollars. It was just unavoidable. Just a matter of time. But the main beef was the domino effect that it created. Some unscrupulous party would use this as an excuse either to gain political mileage or help service their profit margin.

One hope that the hike would not double the price of my teh tarik or roti canai. And the pay for the middle class would incrementally go up accordingly as well. On a personal note, I have no choice but to use my car.

Heavy Morning

It had been a long morning. And the main culprit was the traffic. For some reason it was heavy despite good weather. Probably a hang over from the heavy rain yesterday. It took me almost an hour and a half to get to work, and I was caught in another queue on my way to ParkCity. This time it was due to a stalled car along the Federal Highway and the tailback was easily a couple of miles long.

I only arrived at my clinic 45 minutes later. After the clinic, it was Bangsar for a quick stop at the bank as well as some paperwork using the internet at the apartment. Luckily the afternoon traffic was a lot kinder, although it looked as if there would be rain again this afternoon. Heavy clouds outside .....

Sure was Messy

We left the boys to their own devices today wince we were out all day attending rumah terbuka and other things. When we arrived back home, the room turned into a right mess. The toys were strewn everywhere.

We got the boxes in to sort out their old toys since we planned to give some of them away she the time come for us to move on. Some of then we wanted to hand down to relatives and some we might want to keep for sentimental value.

Sorting them proved to be a challenge. So, it looked like we had to start from scratch again.
