Not a Bad Selection

During one of my late morning stop in Bangsar, I was undecided about staying a bit longer for lunch or leave and take an early dinner later. Then I walked across this new joint on the Ground Floor.

It was called Village Pantry, owned by Village Grocer next door. It basically sold bites and sandwiches but the variety was fantastic.

There were fresh sandwiches, sushi and pasta, something which you could either pick up on the go or had there at the shop where tables were provided. Convenient and time saving.

I picked up a plate of rice and saba fish to take back to the apartment and had a pleasant lunch there while doing some reading. Definitely would be stopping there again ...

It Has Been a While

It had been a while since I had the chance to have a nice walk in town, just with my camera. Ramadhan, then Raya made for busy weekends. Last Sunday morning, I had a couple of free hours and I did just that.

I kinda got a good feel taking wide-angle street photos lately. I had the choice of either the Alpha 7 with the Batis or as I did this time around, the X-Pro2 with the 10-24 mm wide angle zoom. I got off the rounds early, got to the bank and sorted out my credit card payments plus a quick stop at Low Yat checking out the new gadgets.

What did I check out this time? The new 10.5 inch iPad Pro. Definitely nippy but my old iPad was still working fine.

I spent some time around Pavilion looking for a new pair of shoes, but nothing caught my fancy. Going out this early on a Sunday meant that there were hardly any traffic to content with. Everything was smooth and I get to see and do what I planned smoothly. I was back at the apartment well before lunchtime ...

A Loyal Servant

My favourite shoes were made by ecco, and this particular one I had been wearing for the last 9 years. Finally on one fine Sunday morning while I was doing my morning round, the sole detached from the main body and I ended up dragging my feet bag to the car.

It still looked salvageable but Anita was adamant that the shoes need replacing.

I wouldn't be throwing away the shoes just yet. Though I agreed that I could do with a new pair - which I have already done so again from ecco - I was still going to take the old shoes to the cobblers. Just a squirt of glue should fix the thing - at least for another couple of years ...

Update Time

As Apple was gearing up to their next iteration of the iOS, the iOS 11, the 10.3.3 update came out. I didn't waste much time doing the update and the process seemed to be straightforward enough. No hiccups.

Let's hope that it brought some improvements ...

The Homecoming

It has been a while since we went to watch a movie together. ANita was keen to watch the new Spiderman movie although the boys were dead against it. Apparently their friends had gone to watch and we left disappointed. But Anita insisted.

So, off we went to watch it on Sunday under protest from Irfan especially. He was adamant that he was going to sleep throughout the movie.

In the end, he was the one most excited. He couldn't stop giggling and Idlan kept on repeating the jokes afterwards. So much for wanting to sleep. It was better than I expected, and I must say that I had never been a fan of the Spiderman franchise.

"Baby Driver" would be next, but that would be minus the boys ...
