Post Call Blues

Actually, for an on call, I managed to get some sleep, despite driving back to the apartment at 2 am. I was hungry when I reached the condo and scrounge around for food. Luckily, Puan Anita bought some microwaveable meal, which I duly gulped down in record time, while watching a movie on ASTRO. Couldn't really remember what movie it was, but I was pretty full by the time I headed for the mattress half an hour later.

I slept like a log until I woke up at 7 am. Shower, then the drive to the hospital for the morning rounds. But for some reason, Federal Highway was packed today. Took me about 25 minutes to drive in. Skipped breakfast and started the morning rounds.

I used to be able to cope with only 4 hours sleep. It was considered a luxury before. I guessed, I am slowly but surely showing my age. Finished the rounds, did some paperwork, and before long, it was 11 am. Realizing that I skipped breakfast, I headed out for an early lunch.

Lunch was done. Clinics in an hour and a half to go. Too early for the afternoon rounds. Better put my leg up and start blogging and catch up with the news.

A Slow Afternoon

Rather than hang around at the hospital, I decided to head back to the apartment to have a shower, and see what Puan Anita had left for me in the fridge. Hmm .... sushi!

I would be taking a drive back to the hospital at around 10, and stay there until midnight, just in case there are cases waiting for me. That would be better than having to turn back after midnight.

So, off to the shower ....

The Rush Hour

I now understood how the phrase "rush hour" was coined. My rush this morning lasted exactly that. A full hour from home in Gombak to the car park in Subang. On call today, so I decided to kick things off early.

The hold-up this morning was not at the usual spot - the intersection between DUKE to Jalan Duta. This time it was the SPRINT entrance to the Federal Highway. It was a mile queue down the ramp.

Good thing that I had "MacBreak Weekly" podcast on my iPhone. I managed to finish a whole episode.

Madagascar

Madagascar turned out to be a sleeper hit. The stage was huge and from far away you can see the hull of a ship. Similar to the one in the famous movie.
Into the belly .....
They were all excitedLook at the size of that .....Time for a breatherBut Irfan wanted to get on with things ....There were a couple of rides here, and we took the softer - but relatively wetter - option. The ride took us into the belly of the ship using a vessel, complete with splashes and puppet show. The rocking soundtrack on the background of course and before you leave at the other end, your whole family would be singing - "I got to move it, move it!, MOVE IT!"
Catchy indeed. And then we had popcorns and soda before we made our way to Hollywood for more food and gifts ……

Them Butterflies ...

I was surprised to see all these flowers and butterflies all around Bangsar Village this morning when I was there doing some errands. It was something to do with Roald Dahl, but I did not have time to explore. Monday mornings aren't supposed to be a time for exploring the malls.

Still, it was rather interesting. But then again, Bangsar Village tended to have all this interesting stuff. This weekend maybe ....
