Free Morning

Monday and Wednesday mornings were supposed to be my free morning, when I only have clinics in the afternoon. Still, it was not often that I had some time to myself. This morning was an exception and it was such a bliss. I had the choice of either the Oscars, or a bit of a me time.

Me time every time.

Armed with my iPad and a Moleskine, I headed to Bangsar to get some errands done and spent the late morning at my favourite Starbucks. In the last month, that spot is only a five minutes drive from my apartment. And set out to plan the rest of the months.

I then realised that I needed to sort out my budgeting. Moving to the new house, and the coming trip to Kora Bharu is not going to be cheap I'm afraid. Even at the beginning of the month, I was now officially broke .....

Need to work harder I supposed ....

The Two Uncles

Uncle Scholesy and Uncle Gigssy! Class act. Although truth be told, I can't complaint if Norwich were to get something from the game. They really played well. Nice flowing football although a bit robust at the beginning.

We were indebted to the brilliance of De Gea who has slowly but surely trying to cope with the physical side of the English game. But the equaliser was a long time coming. It was just a question of when. Luckily, United managed to find a couple of gears after the goal and was getting closer and closer.

The equaliser was a sucker punch. A cross field ball from Ashley Young, and creeping on the back stick was the veteran playing his 900th game for United. Typical United. Getting the winner in the 92nd minute. As the saying goes, United never lose a game, we just ran out of time ....

The Ritual

True to the ritual, despite it raining heavily, I got them tandoori. United are playing Norwich tonight and this is a game we can't afford to slip.

Tandoori in hand. I shall be wearing my new United top, and looking forward for a win.

More Furniture Hunting

The plan to bring the two boys along for furniture shopping was a complete disaster. In less than 5 minutes at the Lorenzo outlet at Jalan Ampang, Idlan had started sulking. Before long, we had to send the boys home.

45 minutes later, rather than returning to Jalan Ampang, we decided to head out to Viva Home Center again. And this time, we made progress. Anita got what she wanted. And a few others would be on order in the next couple of weeks. Exciting time.

There was also time to have a quick look at some cats at the main lobby. Apparently there was an exhibition all weekend. On cats. Exotic ones.

In the end, we managed to salvage the day. Delivery dates were arranged. And we are both looking forward for the furnitures. The hunt was at least halfway over.

With the Family

After the morning clinic, I went straight to my Mum's to join Puan Anita and boys, plus the rest of my family - aunts, auntie and cousins for a gathering. My nephew, Imran finished his Koran reading and it was celebrated with a kenduri. It was unfortunately that I could not come earlier. By the time I reached Mum's place, some of the relatives had already left.

None the less, I missed Mum's cooking. it was great catching up with family, and I hang around until the boys became restless. Truth be told, I was tired by then from the previous evening call. I went straight to bed right after, then headed back to the hospital for my evening rounds. finished the rounds, I brought the boys and Puan Anita back to Mum's. For dinner this time.

This morning, before my morning round, I joined them again for breakfast, but minus my boys of course. They were still in bed then.
