Rooting
Guess who I was rooting for? Of course it would be the great Roger Federer going for another Wimbledon title. On his way was Andy Murray. And playing at home turf, of course the crowd would be behind Murray.
The start was more than Murray would have dreamt of. He broke Federer's serve in the first game, and held his own in the next game. But like all thoroughbred champion, Federer replied quickly. And we would be for a treat. Murray was really pushing it, and at times, Federer was just about hanging on. Great stuff!
Yes! Roger did it in four sets!
The Final
It was the final Sunday of Wimbledon and we were treated to a real epic of a Men's Final. Djorkovic playing the home favourite Murray. The first three games if the first set lasted almost 2 minutes and the the game looked to be even.
Murray took the first set, but was just been broken in the second set. Almost all the games went to deuce, and they were halfway into the second set after an hour and a half of playing in bright, glorious sunshine. I could get a heatstroke just by looking at them playing.
I don't think I would be able to watch the game right till the end. I had to.work.tomorrow, but would definitely be checking on Twitter from time to time. Yes, I was a part of #TeamMurray. Sad, but the English spirit in me lived on.
Stop the press! Andy Murray won in straight sets. Well done!
