Friday Evening

Rain and Friday evening should never mix. It would spell heavy trafficker even flash flood. Not fun. Especially when you're on call and you wanted a quick exit for shower and quick dinner.

That happened earlier but luckily being school holiday, traffic was lighter than usual. I would be returning to the hospital later but not before some meal. There was some wiring being done at the Doctor's mess which meant that I couldn't be able to chill in front of the TV while waiting for admissions.

The solution, chill at home and return to the hospital later than usual, see the patients quickly then return to bed. Hope that would work out ...

Excruciating

It had been a long morning and as the afternoon wore on, the heaven opened. And as usual, Friday afternoon rain spelled heavy traffic.

I've been stuck for the last 30 minutes, hardly making any progress. And the rain looked to continue. That would also spoil our weekly Friday Evening outing.

Praying that the traffic smoothed out in the coming few minutes.... Happy weekend all!

Solemn Day

As Malaysia received the body of those who perished in #MH17, the day started solemnly. Just started my clinic but hardly anybody turned up yet. I guessed most of the patients were still glued to their TV at home. I have been peeking out of my door every so often to see the ceremony.

A sad day for Malaysia. And for my fellow Malaysian, welcome home ....

Xmas at The Curve

Friday evening outing resumed last weekend and we descended to the usual place, The Curve and had dinner at Marche.

This time around there was a steak promotion - Black Angus from Australia and they were almost as succulent as wagyu beef. But I didn't mind. They tasted just as nice.

We then checked out the decorations at the main lobby. For the duration of Xmas, it looked like the bazaar that were usually set up during weekends would be opened every night. It gave the appearance of a night market. The main foyer also had a stage erected with stalls and shops. Nothing special, but it was better than nothing.

We spent the whole evening just looking around after that. Clearly felt festive.

Badly Needed Weekend

The weekend was upon us again, even though I have clinic tomorrow morning, followed by meetings in the afternoon. Hopefully Sunday would be free. The boys and Anita had been hinting for an afternoon in the park for some fresh air. Weather permitting, we would be doing just that!

On the other hand, should it be raining, I might just explore the shopping malls and take a peek at their Xmas decorations. I was due for a photo outing of sort.

The boys still have exams next week, so it would be just a simple outing come Sunday. Next weekend would be Idlan's kenduri prior to his bersunat the week after. Then only we might just go out of town for a bit of a break.

I quite like going back to Fraser's Hill actually .....
