Dull Xmas Morning

Finally I managed to get six hours of uninterrupted sleep last night. The first in almost two weeks I guessed. And I felt so refreshed this morning and had been spending the morning sitting at my balcony waiting for the sun to rise.

Unfortunately, it had been dull so far. Where has the sun gone? On my off day?

The boys were still asleep, and I have some emails to catch up on as well as some reading. There was a birthday party to attend later in the afternoon. So, I had plans for the rest of the day more or less.

Happy Xmas all!

Xmas at The Curve

Friday evening outing resumed last weekend and we descended to the usual place, The Curve and had dinner at Marche.

This time around there was a steak promotion - Black Angus from Australia and they were almost as succulent as wagyu beef. But I didn't mind. They tasted just as nice.

We then checked out the decorations at the main lobby. For the duration of Xmas, it looked like the bazaar that were usually set up during weekends would be opened every night. It gave the appearance of a night market. The main foyer also had a stage erected with stalls and shops. Nothing special, but it was better than nothing.

We spent the whole evening just looking around after that. Clearly felt festive.

On to Fahrenheit

Right after my stop at Pavilion, I continued my walk towards Fahrenheit. They made some effort for Xmas decorations as well, and they weren't half bad.

Space appeared to be at a premium for them to compare to Pavilion, but they seemed to be putting in a better effort than say, Sungai Wang Plaza.

There were some elves walking around as well, but they appeared to be rushing somewhere. There must've been some show scheduled for later that afternoon.

Great job none the less ...

Pavilion Xmas 2013

I think Pavilion had upped their game this time again. After a couple of lame showings on the instore decorations department, this year's Xmas effort left me impressed.

Last weekend, I made my monthly walk around Bukit Bintang to settle bills, run errands and just a general walkabout. I parked my car at KLCC and walked across the bridge towards Pavilion. There was not much going on at Suria at the time, but it soon changed the moment I entered Pavilion.

There was a small fanfare feeling to the main foyer. There was the customary Santa sled and Xmas tree. There was also a merry-go-rounds and a special stage. And it didn't stop there.

There was another tree by the main entrance from Bukit Bintang. The famous fountain also had some decorations put up in the surrounding area. It was a shame that there were too much construction going around the area, making the walk seemed less festive.

As for the mascot, one could be easily confuse it with Doraemon.

I continue my walk towards Bukit Bintang with a quick stop at Fahrenheit 88. There were decorations there as well. More on that later ...

Overnight in Bangsar

I had to attend a meeting on Saturday afternoon while my boys were occupied at home doing revision for their Al Manaar exam next week. I could see that they were bored. I then suggested that we pack up and spend the evening at the apartment. Just to chill out if nothing else.

Everybody was happy.

So, right after the meetings, we drove to Bangsar, first for dinner and then to apartment with the boys already in their pyjamas.

We just sat in front of the TV - Battleship was on I thought - while flipping to check the football score. It must be about 2 in the morning when we finally slept.

We could do with that from time to time actually. Quite enjoyed it. And I only had a 10 minute drive for my Sunday Morning ward round this morning. And I was in a good mood ....
