More New Lights

Anita was determined to make the balcony even more cosy than it already has. Her latest addition was a string of colourful lights, powered by AA batteries making them readily portable.

She only bought a single strand to try it out but I was pretty sure there would be more coming. They look so amazingly cool. It would look great come festive season.

Hopefully they are as waterproof as they claim to be as they would be soaked exposed to the elements out there. Let's her a few more ...

Lights are Up

We were entering the last 10 days of Ramadhan and it was about time that we get the lights we bought last month out of the box. It took a while to untangle the wires and after a few tries, Anita was finally happy with the setup.

We hung them along the railings of the verandah in our apartment and I was sure people driving down Bukit Pantai would be able to see them. Not too sure if they were still in fashion but when I was young, there must be lights towards the end of Ramadhan. My kampung in Kepala Batas would be filled with kerosene lamps and rumbles of fireworks could be heard for miles. The children would be roaming free during and after the Tarawikh prayers. Those were the days!

My only concern with the lights would be the rain. The wires looked shielded and the bulbs were all LED. Best to unplug them from the mains every night as not to cause any short circuit, but they looked nice when they were on.

Certainly made you excited about the coming Raya. Below is a short YouTube video of the lights.

Fascinating Lights

I frequent Bangsar Village a lot. A lot! My bank was near there. My apartment not too far away. I had breakfast at least once a week there. Groceries etc.

But even though I have been there plenty of time, I have always been fascinated by the lighting there. I thought initially that it was just going to temporary fixture, but it looked like it was built up from a theme.

And it seemed to be evolving .....

Sunway Lights

Even though we stayed at Sunway for a week, I could only spend a couple of nights really exploring the place as I was at work most of the time. The interior of the hotel was pretty well decked out for Xmas, with spectacular decorations and activities.

The lights at the main entrance was nothing shot of awesome as well. We unfortunately missed the parade as were at the movies.

More Decorations at Pavilion

I was so impressed with the Christmas decorations at Pavilion that on Friday evening, I returned there with Puan Anita. This time around, it was in the evening. We went there for dinner and while Anita was getting her shopping done, I ventured out into the fountain area by the main entrance.

The main entrance were full of this sticky stuff. Not real of course.Careful not to trip on them. The full vistaWhile sitting having a mocha at Dome. The coffee was rubbish however.Wondered if they had weight restrictions.Since it was still November, there were not much activities yet, but the place were packed. The carousel was opened to the public and the lights there were spectacular. It however paled to last year's. I meant, who could beat the snow there had by the entrance.

Now, outside by the main entrance. The lights seemed to fall down from the sky.Looking towards Bukit Bintang. Traffic was still full at this hour.

This time around, it was more about lights and Xmas tree and ornaments. I managed to take some video of the place and would be editing them in my spare time. I would upload them after that.
