Please Feed Me

Finding food to make everybody in the group happy proved to be a challenge. I was OK, as long as I can avoid meat and there were salad available. So, for lunch, even though I found the food to be good, a few of my colleagues felt otherwise.

For lunch, we didn't venture far. We had an Italian pasta by the Conference Hall, quite a posh one. Since the break was only for an hour, it made sense not to go far.

There would be a planery session right after lunch, and then I planned to go out for a quick excursion into town. To be back before the last session of the day.

I was distinctly pulled however towards the McDonald's just found the corner from the Conference Hall. First of all. It didn't look like a McDonald's. More like a posh restaurant actually. But, that would have to wait. Maybe I'll drop by there tomorrow.

Return to the Pyramid

Believe it or not, even though Subway Pyramid was only a 5 minutes drive from my hospital, I had not been there for quite some time. Ever since I opened my Desa ParkCity clinic. I usually had Monday and Wednesday morning free. Not anymore.

So today, before the Friday Prayers, I had to do a bit of shopping there and since I was there quite early, decided to have a quick lunch as well. It was still much the same. Not many new shops. But the electronic stores on the top floor were still going strong. You could get most of the latest gadget there, minus the hustle and hype of Low Yat.

Parking was still a pain, even at 11.30 in the morning. I remember last year that I had to park at the hotel just to get a spot. The place could clog up really fast ......

Fire Talk

I couldn't believe that I actually followed some of my colleague and sat through a whole hour talk on fire safety at the hospital. One whole hour. And it turned out to be quite OK. Some of the Doctors even bought some fire extinguisher after that. The talk was THAT good I supposed.

And it helped that the speaker actually showed us some photos of actual fires and videos on how to use the available equipment. And some cool pictures on the explosion from the Empire Shopping Mall in Subang. Some behind the scene stuffs.

At least I know where to ensemble should there be fire.....

Lazy Monday

As we cancelled our plan to leave the apartment on Sunday, the boys had an extra day in Bangsar - their school would only open Tuesday after a week break. So, after my morning round and clinic at ParkCity, I head straight back to join them for lunch. And they were just woken up then. Lazy boys!

So, we had some lunch at the apartment before I set off again for the afternoon clinic back at Subang. Anita was feeling under the weather, waking up with bad sore throat and body ache. No fever this time, but she did feel awful.

The boys was already back in Gombak when I finished the clinic and I joined straight back to join them. It looked like Anita may need t see an ENT colleague for there sore throat ….

A Myalgic Day

I got up this morning with a sore throat and muscle ache. Tried to ignore it but by the time I finished my shower, I had to take some paracetamol. It got a bit better, but by the time I reached ParkCity for my morning clinic after the rounds at SJ, I felt slow again.

The sore throat was less, and on the drive back from ParkCity, I decided to stop in Telawi for a quick lunch. Rather hungry.

Unfortunately I have a log day today. Clinic, then ward rounds followed by a meeting at KL Sentral. Then a lecture after that to listen to. God give me strength. But first, lets have some nasi lemak ....
