Heavy Rain

The SMART Tunnel has been closed for the last 3 days and there was no sign of it being opened. It has been consistently raining heavily by late afternoon and today, the heavy downpour hit me hard while driving home from my lecture in Kelang. I thought of ex aping early, by leaving the hospital before 4. By the time I reached Puchong, it started to rain and I made the mistake of driving into town rather than endure the carpark that was MRR2.

Halfway in, I saw the message that the SMART tunnel was closed for flood mitigation operation. Oh dear! I only managed to reach home just after six. A solid couple of hours in the car. Certainly not good for my sanity I would've thought!

Day One Done

Managed to rush back home just in time to miss the downpour. The program today went much more smoother than I though. The participants did very well, and we managed to go through the objectives in double quick time. Hoping for much the same tomorrow.

In the rain

I was stuck in the car in front of the house when I wrote this. I was back into the swing of things with the Dad doing very well. In fact they are starting his warfarin again today at half dose. Hopefully no more mishaps. I wa also planning to buy a monitoring device where I jut need a pin prick to check how thin his blood was to guide the warfarin dosing.

The Unit had a full afternoon program today with the afternoon CME sponsored by Pfizer. I also did a talk on febrile neutropenia for the new set of MOs. That was followed by a session with medical students. Puan Anita visited Dad earlier but I was unable to accompany her due to my busy schedule.

I think Dad should be back home by early next week. We were certainly already making plans for him at home, to make surethat he will not need to climb up and down the stairs. It also looked like we will be movig back to Taman Setia while he recovers.

Stuck in the rain

Manage to rush out of UMMC before it started pouring but unfortunately the rain just followed me. It was pissing down hard and now I am just outside my driveway. The sad thing was, despite being a perfect gent, I forgotten to keep an umbrella in the car. Serve me right I suppose!

Empty room

It has been raining every afternoon for the couple of months. Did something stupid today of not bringing along my umbrella. So un- English of me. As a result, had to wait at the shades waiting for the rain to subside. Curiously the picture was what the waiting area by the carpark looked like. Are they placing the tables and chairs there for occasion as such?
