Foggy Morning

I have always been fascinating by foggy mornings. It reminding me of mornings I spent trekking up the hills of Phen-y-Ghent in the Yorkshire Dales, being rewarded later with glorious view of the valleys. And also the numerous morning walks on trails leading me into waterfalls, carrying my camera around. Those were glorious mornings.

It was 17 degrees out there when I woke up this morning, and the fog still lingered when I got out of the shower. I was sure that the morning sun would soon clear it up, in time for breakfast. The boys were still fast asleep, and today would be the last full day we would be spending here.

The boys were still complaining about wifi - of the lack of it - last night, but the cold weather soon brought them to sleep. Getting ready for breakfast then .....

Holiday Mode On

So, finally time has come for me to take a bit of respite. The plan was to drive to Fraser's Hill tomorrow, but it looked like I had to make a quick stop at the ward before I set off. And then had to go to the bank for a bit of business. I hope that all that could be sorted out by 11 in the morning.

Anita had done the packing earlier and we planned to take off from Gombak. In fact we were already there tonight to get ready. Our maid would also be flying back for Xmas early tomorrow morning. She would be away for close to a month.

Now that the clothes were packed up, time for me to decide which camera to bring. It looked like the A7R2 with a couple of lenses from the looks of it. And plenty of batteries most definitely. Better have some rest tonight ...

Experiment Failed

Having toiled with the old BlackBerry Z10 for the past week, I was beginning to realise how doomed the system was. It came as no surprise that even BlackBerry themselves had given up on the operating system, jumped ship and gone all Android.

At the end the reason was pretty obvious. The operating system was slow and antiquated with poor third party support and bad battery life.

I hope that the new Priv would carry the pluses of the old models. The excellent email service if not the poor software implementation, the best software keyboard on any platform and the slick high quality hardware.

The Priv would be hitting this shores next week and I for once would be eager to try it. If the quality was there, I wouldn't mind buying one. But the rumour has it that it was going to be expensive. Well into the iPhone category.

It would be a tough ask, but I would be willing to try. But for the moment, goodbye Z10. Goodbye BlackBerry OS 10.

The Force at Mid Valley

Another two weeks before the release of all release coming to the cinema for the year. Star Wars would be back and at the moment the adverts were everywhere. Some clever, some tacky but it seemed to be a celebration coming. Just hope that the movie would not disappoint.

Mid Valley Megamall hosted a life-sized X-Wing at one of the side foyer. It cost money to enter and snap pictures at but the buzz was certainly. There was hardly a queue when I visited since it was mid week right after work. I could imagine that the line would be long at weekends.

Well. Two more weeks and counting...

A Bit Different

Since getting the furnitures over, the living room appeared a bit more congested. And for the first time, I felt like being the Lord of the Manor when I had my breakfast this morning.

There was still plenty of work needed to be done with the apartment but certainly the move had kick started us into gear. Definitely there would be more decorating to come and the place would start to resemble a full house.

Anita had been kept busy still with paperwork and all. She had an appointment with the lawyers earlier as well as a buyer for the old MPV coming over to have a look. Still waiting for an offer though.
