Gonna be Hectic

I was bracing myself over the weekend for the expected onslaught next week. One of my colleague would be away the whole week and i would have to cover his work to add to my call next Thursday. Hopefully there were no unexpected headache on my way.

The last couple of days had been nice and easy. I was able to unwind and chill. My mother-in-law's maid returned to Indonesia on Saturday, so things were hectic back home. Our maid had to do the extra work, and Anita of course.

I might have to stay at the apartment at some stage looking at my schedule. Anita and the boys might not be able to come along should I had to go over since the boys had plenty of school projects to complete.

Might as well enjoy the lull before the storm. It was definitely coming by tomorrow. Cheers ....

Spring Clean!

After almost a year, my clinic window received a visit from the cleaners. It was so bad that I was worried that an apparition of Jesus Christ might appear as it did on the pane by the stairwell a couple of years back!

Now, I can enjoy an uninterrupted view to the outside, to plant escape route at the end of the clinic ...

Renovation Next Door

Finally the deal for the house next door was done. The new owner happened to be an old Cardiologist colleague from my UMMC days. He had since left for private practice at about the same time as I did.

He bought the house and proceeded to do a wholesale renovation of the old house. Once completed, I suspect it would look unrecognisable to the old owner.

I suspect that he might raise another floor to the house .... We shall see ...

Free Tuesday Afternoon

It was not often that I get to chill on a Tuesday afternoon. After working through the weekend, I felt tired when I woke up this morning.

Taking advantage of the light workload for the day - I only had the morning clinic - I decided to start my afternoon rounds early and headed home soon after.

The boys didn't have their usual Quran class as it was the school holidays at the moment, so Puan Anita and I headed out for a date. We planned for dinner and a movie later.

Better use the time to chill ...

Banzai!

It's June! And this would mean that I can enjoy my sushi again. I did promise to stay away of Japanese food for the month after Malaysia got beat in the Thomas Cup Final. I meant the month of May of course!

So, the curfew was lifted, and it was time to enjoy a bit of sashimi and temaki!

Banzai!!!
