As Promised

So, right after reaching home I took the boys as promised. We went to a mall near our home, KL Festival Mall. On the top floor, there was a amusement area and one of the game console there was called Animal Keiser.

You put in the tokens - worth RM3 - into the slot, then play a quick game. At the end of that, a card would come out from the slot. These cards have power-up on them the next time you play the game and as you progress you become stronger. The cards were also collector's item and the boys exchanged them with their friends at school.

For the last couple of nights, the boys had been at it almost constantly bordering on annoyance.

Since I was busy last night, I had to take them out today after their Quran class. The nett result was eight new cards between the two of them. Not cheap, but at least it kept them off my back. At least for the next 24 hours .........

Talk was Done

After a cumbersome couple of days getting my slides in order, the talk went without a hitch. It was held at Renaissance and the topic was "Current Coagulant Landscape".

My talk was before lunch, so I was able to sort out my rounds before going into town. Anita was kind enough to loan me her driver for today, so getting to and from the venue was without hassle. I was able to finish off my slides on the way in and blog on my way back to Subang. Unfortunately I had clinic this afternoon. I could've just cancel it and listen to the rest of the talk but it was too much of a hassle.

Tonight, I promised Irfan to take him to the mall. He wanted to play Animal Keiser again. I wasn't able to take him last night since I was busy with my slides. So, will be out again tonight.

Weekend Too Short

The weekend had come to an end and what a relaxing weekend it was. Only 15 minutes to work, cosy little place and near to all the places we loved to go to in town. That was the feeling like everytime we spent time at the apartment.

Idlan was occupied with his artwork. Irfan causing mayhem in his room and beyond. Anita got some me time watching her DVDs and the TV. Even our maid had her own time to herself and was able to nip to church last Sunday.

I even had a chance of trying out the latest instalment of Diablo. Using Irfan's PS3. Wow! It had been a while ......

We were still waiting to finalise the sale of our other house and would be using the money to do some renovation and redecoration on the apartment. So, in the meantime, we just made do with what we had. Even the master bedroom had no bed. Just a bunch of mattresses.

Mission Beanbags

So, the mission was a success. We went to The Curve for lunch as well as looking around for beanbags. Idlan and Irfan wanted them. A few weeks back, we saw a small vendor at the Ikano foyer selling these but the cat was too full for us to carry the bags home.

Not so that day. Luckily the vendor was still there although we still looked around for better deal. There was none really to be had. Harvey Norman had some on sales but they were expensive and not very comfortable to sit on. So. We skipped that. There were not much in terms of colour and material as well.

Buy at the vendor - located right in front of Cold Storage on the Ikano's ground floor - they had plenty to choose from and they offered bundled foot stools for free. Deal clinched!

I was carrying the bags to the van soon after. A couple of trips of course, while the boys helped out with the foot stools. Were they happy? Daddy was happy as well!

Arts by Idlan

During the visit to National Science Center, Idlan bought an art set. Essentially pieces of malleable polystyrene which could be soaked into different colours. These would later be shaped into whatever design you fancied.

Colour selection was a bit on the dodgy side, but Anita was happy with the end results. So, the boys spent the whole Sunday morning in their rooms doing a "project". I can sense a mess coming on .....
