Almost Set

What do you want to eat tonight Idlan? You would have to fast from midnight tonight!

The answer was Nando's. Nando's it was then. Idlan actually finished his plate of half chicken. No complaints.

We have moved a bed to the main sitting room upstairs so that Idlan didn't have to climb downstairs when he reached home from the hospital tomorrow morning. I have just hooked up his Wii U console onto the TV there as well.

We were almost all set.

Spam Attack

I woke up this morning to a flurry of emails pushed onto my tablet. They were from my blog host, Squarespace. My site had been spammed quite literally.

It was a bit more sly than usual. The actual site was still up and running, but the spammer basically inserted a code so that on some of my entries, there appeared to be some reference at the bottom. This appeared instead of comments.

This morning alone, there was close to 60 such entries. Removing them would be a pain since I had to individually delete them. The blog however stayed up as usual.

I would have to write to Squarespace to ask them to look into the matter as it was driving me mad ...

Mechanically Frozen

As mentioned, my boys had been keen on watching Frozen for the last couple of months. Since it opened last week, they had been harping on about it. And with Idlan going for his bersunat on Wednesday, we had to do it sooner rather than later.

So, off we went on a late night show last Sunday evening.

It was a 3D show. Armed with the oversized goggle-glasses, we took out seats and was immediately stunned by the opening short-video to warm us up before the main event. And might as well.

I left the theatre with mixed feelings after the show was done. Yes, I didn't hold my attention enough that I actually dozed off for quite a bit. The story were both mechanical and predictable. It stuck to the tried and tested Disney animated fantasy of yesteryears to the T. As a result, it got boring pretty quickly.

Pretty princesses. Checked. Charming sidekicks. Checked. Plucky tunes. Checked. Lived happily ever after at the end. Checked. But unfortunately, it was no Little Mermaid. No Ariel. No Sebastian. No "Under the Sea". Great effort, but failed to fulfil the high expectation that Disney themselves created.

I would still recommend it to young families as the trip would no doubt still be enjoyable. The animation was nothing short of spectacular, but in the end, they were all just eye candy. And the 3D effect was A-MA-ZING!

Verdict from my boys? Idlan was amazed at the 3D but for Irfan, not so. They would still get the DVD later when it comes out though.

Day -1

The boys, Idlan especially seemed content last night when I hung around with them after work. Irfan had gone through circumcision, so his elder brother had some idea of what to expect on Wednesday.

Just one more day ....

Slight Change

I found out that I took way too many photos lately and uploading them onto the blog took a bit of a wait.

Therefore I have decided that there would be series of small photo entries similar to the photoblog inset up years ago.

This way, I could just snap a pic, upload them and then just did a small entry. Less time consuming.

And this idea came across while waiting for some test results to come through in clinic this morning ...
