Tutti Frutti Time

Anita had been there a couple of times before. But today was the first time I step foot into Tutti Frutti, and I must say, the frozen yoghurt tasted yummy. Combined with the easy going ambiance, bright decor and easy access to what you wanted when you were preparing your own dessert, the feeling was hard to beat. The branch I visited was right along MRR2, a left turn from my Mum's place to return to our place.

There were some tasty choices here, and my boys certainly enjoyed playing around with the toppings and preparing their own concoction. I just wished that it was not that expensive. Each tub easily cost us RM15, and the boys hardly finished half of it. I did not take any as I shared Anita's chocolate flavored yoghurt.

Definitely worth a treat, especially on a warm afternoon that we had just now. But remember, prepare to spend around RM15 per person …..

Kampachi at Pavilion

The owner of Sushi Express at Great Eastern Mall told us once that his usual sushi place is Kampachi. They had a couple of restaurants, the flagship being at Equatorial. Last weekend, we decided to give its sister restaurant at Pavilion a try.

To be honest, we were disappointed. Not only that the price there seemed double to what we would have expected to pay, the quality was not that good either. The place was quite OK and the food were presented well enough, but that did not compensate for the high price.

We tried their wagyu beef, as well as some rice dishes. It was just OK. Nothing spectacular. The children's meal was rather unique however, presented in cosy little containers. The boys has some chicken teriyaki. They did not complain so, it should be fine taste-wise.

Would I be coming back? Don't think so, but I am willing to give the main branch at Equatorial Hotel a try. I prefer my wage somewhere else anyhow.

Kid's E World

The boys were craving to go to the park but the weather was too hot and it was only 3 pm. We were at Mid Valley Gardens and we decided to give Kid's E-World on the top floor a go.

The place had been open since last year but we never got around to try it. Entrance fee was rather steep at RM50 per head, plus the boys had to pay for the socks. Parents get in free of course but you had to purchase socks if you were not wearing one.

A quick drinks while the boys were creating havocThey made it quite clearThe boys doing the plottingThe place was actually bigger than it looked from the outside and true to the amount you paid for entrance, the facilities there were very well maintained. The toilets were clean and children friendly. They also had a small cafe for snacks. Nice open space for the children to roam around but it would soon get too crowded as they had separate area for toddlers and older children.

Quite a decent area to sit inA quick chargeThe waiting area for parents were quite comfortable. The entrance fee was good for the whole day, so you could come in and out as many times as you wanted to. Handy! I was not sure if they had a drop in service but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

With such a high entrance fee, I couldn't help but to feel that the place should offer more. My kids enjoyed it however and that was the main thing. As long as I had a bean bag, I wouldn't be complaining either. Oh! And did I mention about the free wifi? Hehehe! Win!

I also taken a short video, uploaded to Youtube here.

First Day Back

First day of work after the Chinese New Year break, and I'm on call today. I am expecting a flood of admission. Just finished my ward round and it was only 8.30 am. Part of the reason when I was early was because I reached work much earlier than expected. There was hardly any traffic.

So, since I have no clinic this morning, I was spending time at the Mess, starving. I might escape for an early lunch if there were no admission. I bet by the evening, it would be right busy.

Away at Arsenal

Personally, I was rather tired last night and the fact that Balotelli slotted in late minute penalty for Manchester City destroyed my mood further. As far as I was concerned, he should have been sent off for his kick on Parker. I am sure however that he would be receiving a ban soon when the FA had a look at the TV replays. I would not be surprised if Lescott also receive a ban for his elbow on Kaboul.

Anyhow, United played well against Arsenal and at the end of the day, was good value for their 2-1 win. I was glad to see that Wenger, for some reason decided to bring off Oxlade-Chamberlain after their equalizer spite him setting up the goal and other chances, and being Arsenal most effective attacking player. That boy can play!

Van Persie took his goal really well and I was hoping that Jones would recover soon from his ankle turn. It looked nasty. As for the winner, Wellbeck finished up a great team effort, and a very good assist from Valencia again. Apart from that, I thought Wellbeck was a waste of space.

Three points away from home is always welcomed. Next week would be the fourth round FA Cup tie against Liverpool. Should be another cracker!
