Easy like Sunday Afternoon

Perfect afternoon. After a hefty lunch, the kids got their iPads out, I got to browse some gadgets and Puan Anita was having a field day at Living Quarters. Her mission; to decorate the toilets at the apartment. All five of them. Wish me luck!

At least the boys were behaving themselves. Both of them were playing Puss in Boots Fruit Ninja. Mighty cute!

Back to Tasik Perdana

We spent the afternoon at the park at Tasik Perdana. The weather was kind even though it had been threatening to rain for the couple of hours preceding. It held up, and the boys had their dose of playground for the week.

For a reason, the place was quite quite. Maybe because everybody was worried about the rain. That did not deter a few of the brides-to-be in their wedding dresses posing for the camera. I counted at least 5 couples.

We then had some tea and ice cream by the boathouse. A nice place although it was a shame that the boats had been out of commission for the last couple of years.

By the time we were about to leave, the heaven opened. just in time .....

Coronation On Call

Another public holiday and another day on call. This time around, it was huge Coronation Day. I have another public holiday on call coming up next month for Hari Wesak, and then it won't be anymore until around Christmas.

On calls here on public holidays could be a mixed bag. It tended to be quiet during the day, and then very busy come the evening. It had been fantastic so far. I have sorted out all the ward patients and the referrals, and I was spending lunch at the Doctor's Lounge. Watching TV, with the Discovery Channel highlights on Titanic .....

Glorious End to the Day

I was about to set off for home - with tomorrow being a public holiday and all - but unfortunately, I received a call about a transfer from Ipoh which won't be arriving until after office hours. Sigh!

Diverted to the apartment, headed out to the gym and did some work-out. Hmmm! Maybe that was a better idea then. So, time for shower, and the sun was almost setting and there were no sign of the transfer arriving as yet. So, dinner would be next ....

Morning at Ara

I was called for a meeting this morning at the our new sister hospital at Ara Damansara and I must say that the place looked impressive. Supporting a huge lobby with comfortable sofa, everything looked spit and span.

According to the Director there, most of the system were in place but a few of the services were yet to be launched. My role there would be to oversee the transfusion service and to see any Harmatology referrals should there be any.

Driving there was surprisingly breezy this morning although this was not often the case. It took me close to half an hour to drive back from Ara to Subang Jaya, getting stuck at a few bottlenecks. This being one of the issue about seeing patients across there.

As a result, my morning start was delayed and a few of my patients had been waiting all morning for discharge. Sigh!
