The Schemer at Work

Kids nowadays are resourceful. So much so that all I would hear from Irfan would be, "Daddy, put in the password!". He would go into the App Store and pick his game. All I had to do was get key in the password and he would even sync the download later himself. Unbelievable.

I just need to make sure that he could not read the password, because otherwise, there would be trouble. Not on downloads, but from in-app purchases. That would be the killer.

As you can see from the photo, the boys got the whole scheme sorted out ....

I am with Siri

Finally, it was time for an upgrade. The home button on my iPhone 4 had been playing up for the last couple of months, but I never got around to find the time to upgrade the phone.

I was pleasantly surprised that all the shops were opened on Xmas day in Kuala Lumpur. And Bukit Bintang was teaming was people. Anita wanted to do some shopping there - there were plenty of bargain to be had there - as well as pick up some DVD from our "dealer". Mission accomplished.

While she was shopping, I roamed around and there were a few vendors selling the iPhone. After surveying around, I finally entered the Maxis store, and the rest was history ....

I will be putting up more review of the phone tomorrow after playing around with it. And the camera was just amazing ....

A Mazy Megamall

I managed to give the decoration at Mid Valley Megamall a look last weekend during a quick lunch time visit. The theme was a maze - of sorts. A big Xmas tree in the middle, and to reach the gazebo right in the middle, punters had to walk through a small maze, made of fake plants.

As it was a Sunday, the place was packed. A pram could easily block the narrow walkway in the maze, so, it was not exactly a pleasant walkabout if you ask me .....

Sunway Lights

Even though we stayed at Sunway for a week, I could only spend a couple of nights really exploring the place as I was at work most of the time. The interior of the hotel was pretty well decked out for Xmas, with spectacular decorations and activities.

The lights at the main entrance was nothing shot of awesome as well. We unfortunately missed the parade as were at the movies.

Ghost Protocol

So, we were back home after the week at Sunway Pyramid. Now we managed to get some time for the two of us, and what better way than spending some time at the movie. Initially Anita wanted to watch Breaking Dawn, but it turned out that one of her friends wanted to go as well next week. We therefore decided to watch Mission Impossible.

It was a spectacular movie. Spectacular in terms of the spectacle, but the plot was rather ...... old. Put it this way, Old Russia threatening the world with Nuclear warfare scenario. It was so yesterday. It did not stop the action though. Hanging down the Burj in Dubai? Awesome.

Dinner before the movieAs I said, the plot was rather lame, but the character development was good, and I had the sense that the producer was planning for more installment in the future. After watching the movie, one could not help but to be invested in the characters. Simon Pegg was hillarious. there was also this mystique around Agent Ethan's other half just added to the intrigue. Personally, I knew that the same set of crew would be a success - with a better story arc - next time around. The next Mission Impossible should be much better than this.

And the BMW concept car on display? I want one!
