Reunion of Sorts

During midweek, I had the chance to catch u with some of Anita's old friend from her university days. One of her junior decided to resign from his paid job and opened a cafe in PJ. Since it opened a couple of months back, some of my friends had been a regular there especially during football matches.

Oh Dear! Puan Anita had warmed up!One of Anita's classmate came all the way from Kuching - for work - and decided to have a quick reunion. One of the boys there brought videos back from the time they were still at University. Fortunately rather, it did not feature Anita as she was a year their senior. They have more videos and would be showing them on the next reunion apparently. Embarrassing moments in store I was sure .....

This coffee is the killa!The food there - at Ipoh Kopitiam was surprisingly good. Definitely worth a go. And the coffee there, could literally put Starbucks out of business. I was still craving for more after a couple of nights. Yesterday evening during my on call, one of my friend congregated there but unfortunately, I was too busy to join him. I'll write more on the Kopitiam next time.

A Week Away

The boys were clearly getting bored. As part of the year end, we decided to have some time away. Unfortunately, we couldn't go far this time around. After all, they were back in Kuala Kangsar last weekend.

The plan was to spend the week at Sunway Resort. I will be going to work from there during the week and hopefully the boys would have fun having evening walks, and not to mention fun at the pool. The night lights at Sunway looked great from what I heard.

An Old Buddy

I gave an old buddy a visit yesterday. They went way back to my Sheffield days. The couple has not got married and have two boys about the same age as Idlan and Irfan. An the four boys got on famously after spending some time together, as well as having a late afternoon dip at the pool.

The pool was a treat, with a separate children and adults pool, plus a jacuzzi on the side. The children pool itself was as big as a standard condominium pool, and the adult main pool was at least three

For the past five years, they ha been staying at Armanee Condominium at Damansara Damai and the place was such a gem. Not only that the facilities were good, they also had a clubhouse with gym and sauna, badminton and tennis courts, and facilities or outdoor barbecue by the pool. And I have not yet started on their condo unit.

It was a duplex unit, and theirs was on the ground floor, with a small little garden leading up to their car parking space directly outside. The actual unit might be small but it was really cozy and cool. I could just sleep there all afternoon!

The stay was topped up with dinner at a restaurant not far from where they stayed. But that would be a subject to another entry.

A Week to stay United

It had been a tragic week for the United fans. We were out of the Champions League, but that was not the worst news. Vidic was out for the season. United needed to regroup now. We can't afford any further slip-up even though the season was less than half done. Out of the Champs League was certainly a blow, and for the last couple of days, my Liverfool supporting friends had been giving me grief. Big time.

Tonight is a chance to let off some steam. United would be playing Wolverhampton Wanderers. I can imagine the further pain in store should we miss out on maximum points tonight ....... Glory, glory Man United!

The Durian Trip

It was such a shame that I had to work last weekend. Anita and the boys took a trio back to Kuala Kangsar, to enjoy the fruit season. They spent three nights there and yesterday, brought back durians and rambutans. The durian was actually from our own trees. We had only half a dozen of trees, but the amount of fruits we got was plenty to share around.

The boys also enjoyed their bicycle rides around of the kampung. On Sunday, Anita also went to Penang for some laksa and seafood. Lucky her. So I spent last evening having plenty of durian and was suffering from it all night. It was really warm and I could hardly sleep. Bad move ......
