Next Three Days

I would be spanning the coming three days attending a workshop at the Julius Center here in UM. It was mainly on Evidence-Based Medicine, a subject I have been keen on. I have been a tutor for such program for the coming three years, although for this particular one, even the chief organiser admitted that the program was announced rather late. The invitation email to my Head of Department only appeared towards the end of last week, even though I learned about the program well in advance.
The program today was mainly on the introduction to clinical appraisal. We would later be put into small groups - mainly he attendance were pharmacists - for group work. Would see how things develop.
Paying the Price

After having too much fun over the weekend, it was time to suffer the grief. Idlan has been down with a bug. He was still having a temperature and Anita had to bring him to see our family doctor, Uncle Lim.
As usual, according to his Mum, Idlan would tell his symptoms to the Doctor himself, this time describing his sore throat and muscle ache. Uncle Lim gave his usual cough mixtures, paracetamol and increased Idlan's inhalers a notch. He was not wheezing but the worry was, he might start to cough later in the evenings.
Sri Utama has been on term break for the past week, and school would only open tomorrow. Look like he would be absent tomorrow.
Pool in the Afternoon

Party hats on the readyThe weekend was topped up with a pool party celebrating one of Idlan's classmate's birthday. Unfortunately it was drizzling at the start, and everyone was worried if we would be able to spend any time in the pool at all. Things started off indoors anyway with food, music, games and of course the cakes.
lining up .... to no good
Then 'joget lambak'
The birthday cake being devoured
Finallay, in the poolAfter the party was over, the weather held and we had half an hour or so in the pool. Off the children went. By the time it was ready to head home, Idlan was already sneezing and developing a temperature. Poor boy!

Stargate FTW

Again, I spent the whole morning watching Stargate, just like yesterday. I have always been a big fab of sci-fi series, but Stargate never been something which I followed, although my friend Syahril is a big fan.
Well, since I would have such a free weekend until I would be back from Kuching in about 3 weeks, I might as well enjoy it while i can.
