Another Breakdown

It had been a bad Thursday all around. As I was driving back to Subang after settling the school fees in Gombak, the car suddenly made a weird noise. It was in the garage for service only a couple of weeks back, and within a couple of days a warning light appeared. I thought about bringing it back to the garage later but I was just too busy.

It turned out that there was a leak on the water tank and the engine the carburettor had run dry. The engine cut off as I was driving along the highway, and luckily I was able to veer onto the emergency lane to stop. Called the tow truck and later the car was brought back to the garage.

That was when we discovered the leak and for the next few days, the car would be staying at the shop. I would be using my in-law’s car for the time being. I managed to get back to the hospital in time for my afternoon round but missed the lunchtime meeting.

I was lucky that it happened just after lunch, and I wasn’t in that much of a rush. Hopefully this repair would not cost me a bomb!

Let's Get the Jab Done

Idlan was due for his jab and as usual, he would throw a drama if Anita came along. This was a job for Daddy!

So, off we went to the hospital next door. It took me almost 15 minutes in the Doctor’s surgery to finally get the injection in. He was crying right after that and it took another 15 minutes for him to calm down.

Then obviously he asked for some Lego as I promised him the day before ...

He seemed to have recovered ...At least we managed to get the injections out of the way. So far, he had been OK. No fever or body ache. It would be Irfan’s turn next year ....

Evening Air

We went out after dinner tonight as we had some items we needed for the weekend. Some toys for birthday boy on Sunday as well as Anita eyeing some new clothes.

It had been raining all afternoon and the air tonight was really cool. After we returned, I decided to sit out at the balcony enjoying the breeze.

Repaired ...

My Bose speaker broke down at the tail end of last year, right after the warranty expired. Which was a shame. Since then, I was using a smaller Bluetooth Sony speaker, which didn’t carry as hefty a sound.

Last week, I decided to haul the speaker back to the dealer and asked for an estimate for the repair. A week later, I received the call, agreed with the price and I picked up the speaker yesterday night.

And things sounded so much better. Bigger bass, clearer treble and sweeter midrange. It may be because the streaming quality was much better with Spotify but I must say that I was impressed. The only thing was the battery on the remote needed replacing ...

Flowers of Frasers

The nice cool mountain air and plenty of sunshine and rain certainly made Frasers Hill a heaven for flowers. Even the whole shrubs thrived here.

Around the Smokehouse, there used to be plenty of flowers in the garden. There weren't many this time around and I decided to explore the town for more.
