Not a Bad Selection

During one of my late morning stop in Bangsar, I was undecided about staying a bit longer for lunch or leave and take an early dinner later. Then I walked across this new joint on the Ground Floor.

It was called Village Pantry, owned by Village Grocer next door. It basically sold bites and sandwiches but the variety was fantastic.

There were fresh sandwiches, sushi and pasta, something which you could either pick up on the go or had there at the shop where tables were provided. Convenient and time saving.

I picked up a plate of rice and saba fish to take back to the apartment and had a pleasant lunch there while doing some reading. Definitely would be stopping there again ...

Rainy Take-out

It started raining heavily the moment we reached Sungai Buloh. And it became thundery by the time we reached Gombak and my Mum had to land at our place, waiting for the rain to subside.

After sending her off to Bukit Antarabangsa, I felt peckish. And with tomorrow being Ramadan, I better get some dinner.

We decided to stop at Pegaga, we had dinner on my birthday for some take out. The daging salai wasn't half bad! Luckily the rain had stopped by then.

Return to Express Sushi

It has been a while since I visited Express Sushi at Great Eastern Mall, arguably the best sushi fast-food outlet in town. Miles better the more accessible Yo! Sushi at least. Since coming here a couple of years ago, the main chef - Eric has been busy with another of their outlet. There was a period last year that the quality went down a bit, but today it was almost back to when I first came.

The ramen for startersSince it was just a quick stop, we had to be quick. They now have a lunch menu which came in handy. My set - salmon teriyaki set - came with ramen, potato salad and a bowl of rice. Not bad for RM26 actually.
