Lose. Draw. Win?

Let's be honest, our draw for the start of the season had been more than generous. Swansea, followed by Sunderland last night with Burnley next. All three considered lesser team, for which dropping points would be criminal.

However, we managed to do hard work of the first couple of matches and it looked like a win against Burnley this weekend would do little to lift the mood.

Van Gaal had a record of starting slowly with his club sides. The same happened when he first took on the Barca and Bayern job. Notoriously slow start. Unfortunately, we started too well during our preseason US tour, lifting our hopes to almost unreasonable level. Time to go back to basics and support the team I guess.

Hopefully, by this time next week, we would've acquired a new number 7 in the form of Di Maria. That should at least give us the extra boost needed at the beginning of the season, and we shall push on from there.

Glory, glory Man United!

Heavy Morning

It had been a long morning. And the main culprit was the traffic. For some reason it was heavy despite good weather. Probably a hang over from the heavy rain yesterday. It took me almost an hour and a half to get to work, and I was caught in another queue on my way to ParkCity. This time it was due to a stalled car along the Federal Highway and the tailback was easily a couple of miles long.

I only arrived at my clinic 45 minutes later. After the clinic, it was Bangsar for a quick stop at the bank as well as some paperwork using the internet at the apartment. Luckily the afternoon traffic was a lot kinder, although it looked as if there would be rain again this afternoon. Heavy clouds outside .....

Bad Traffic is Back

The school holiday had ended and yesterday, normal traffic was back in Lembah Kelang. And it wasn't welcomed. It took me easily 75 minutes to drive across and another 45 minutes to get from Subang to ParkCity.

As Anita was at the apartment looking at some repairs, I joined her for lunch. We had the driver dropping us off in Bangsar as traffic during lunch hour around Bangsar Village could be a nightmare.

Then came time for the afternoon clinic, and the afternoon rounds. Luckily, driving via the NPE the traffic was kinder.

My problem with the traffic didn't end there, as I drove to Kajang later that evening. And got stuck in traffic again. How I wished that the traffic was as light everyday as the school holidays.

Quick Drink

A quick drink at the Lounge after arriving to the hospital extra early, not realising that it was the school holiday. So, I got to the ward well before 8, and finished the rounds by 8.45. Better chill before leaving as I don't think there would be any patients waiting at ParkCity.

Let's try new route shall we ...... GPS permitting!

Driving up to Penang

I've just reached the rest stop in Tapah, well on my way up to Penang. The traffic was light on my side, but it was clearly building up KL-bound.

Even though there were not much cars, the flow was slow since the lane were cut down to just a single file. Cones were placed in the middle of the highway, blocking the right hand lane. I was sure they would be opening it for the opposite traffic later on. I was stuck behind a couple of lorries for a good 20 km, with maximum speed of 70, down to below 70 km/h on inclines. Excruciating.

I decided to stop for a quick wash and breather. The place was packed with people having breakfast. Judging from the way they were dressed, most of them would be attending weddings. I was sure there were plenty of those going on this weekend.

Well, got to move on. I would be driving straight into Penang to Grandmother's place in Pahang Road, wrote spending the evening at Julia's house in Sungai Petani. Time permitting, I would stop by Kepala Batas for some food and Maghrib Prayers.
