Easing Back In

The day had been kind. A quick ward round although the patient was really poorly, then a smooth clinic followed by a nice free lunch before heading for prayers. I was caught in a light shower on the way back, but luckily the heavy burst only came when I was already safe inside.

Another ward round afterwards plus a few referral before heading home.

Anita had been carrying a cough since returning from Penang and had been in bed all day. She wanted to go out for an early dinner when I returned, so we were just about done when I draftee this entry. It would be an early night though as I have to run an errand back to Gombak later. Will do that after the traffic lighten up a little.

Next would be going through the snaps from Penang. There would be plenty from the last count. That should keep me busy tonight.

I'm Back

It had been a week since Raya. And it had been a week since I was away from work. Was back to KL on Wednesday, but was already called in yesterday. It felt that I had never left. And there was a small matter of 3 calls in one week coming from tomorrow.

Clinic next and hopefully it would be a kind one. Time to have a sit down at the Lounge before clinic and the start of the mayhem.

Selamat Hari Raya

As usual, will be performing the morning prayers at Gombak before heading to my Mum's place 15 minutes away. Obviously the mission today would be to get stuffed by the afternoon.

Bad news though as it was Friday today, hence afternoon prayers at the mosque again. Hope I could stay awake for that.

To all my Moslem friends, Selamat Hari Raya and for those not celebrating, Maaf Zahir Batin and Happy Holidays.

Back to Gombak

It was a balik kampung of sorts. Even though Anita came here almost daily at her mother's house. Today, we packed our stuffs from the apartment, pillows included for the big journey - 20 minutes drive sans traffic - and head off to Gombak. I will be off from Thursday onwards for the whole week for the Eid celebrations.

We couldn't make it in one trip, ended up returning for another pick-up after berbuka tonight.

It would be hard work in the coming couple of days, followed by a drive to Penang on Saturday to spend three nights there. I will be bringing my in-laws there for a break, and my parents and sister would be going to Penang as well maybe on Sunday.

The boys as usual were never too enthusiastic when it came to travelling although they loved Eastern and Oriental from the last trip. We would be staying there again this weekend.

Anita would be cooking spaghetti and soto ayam tomorrow for Raya. Rumours has it a few of our MRSM friends would be visiting on Friday. It would be a smashing day then, in more ways than one.

Time to unpack ...

Simple Birthday

This year around, my birthday fell towards the end of Ramadan. Obviously Raya takes priority hence there were no celebration or anything like that. Just a simple berbuka at home, with some cakes.

That's the best way to celebrate your birthday anyway.
