Scary Afternoon

I had an early start this morning. One of my patient turned unwell at 5 am, which led me Tibet's runny ward round by 7. This then allows me to start my clinic at 9 sharp despite having almost 20 inpatients to see.

The clinic was also a long one since I cancelled tomorrow. Rushed to Friday prayers before my afternoon round.

By 5 pm, I was already sat at home. As usual, a quick look through my email while sitting at my balcony but this time in really strong wind. Guess it was going to rain. A look across into town and it was already covered in clouds. I guessed the traffic today was going to be bad if it rained heavily.

Time to enjoy my coffee.

A Happy End to Monday

Looking forward for a busy week coming. On call, followed by a couple of lectures before the end of the week. Since I was last on call almost 3 weeks back, the ward had been light and I had a couple of weekends to enjoys my photography.

Great to see that the weather turned gloomy this afternoon as not to pine for another outing with my camera ....

Looking forward to a quiet night preparing my talks ....

Friday Evening

Rain and Friday evening should never mix. It would spell heavy trafficker even flash flood. Not fun. Especially when you're on call and you wanted a quick exit for shower and quick dinner.

That happened earlier but luckily being school holiday, traffic was lighter than usual. I would be returning to the hospital later but not before some meal. There was some wiring being done at the Doctor's mess which meant that I couldn't be able to chill in front of the TV while waiting for admissions.

The solution, chill at home and return to the hospital later than usual, see the patients quickly then return to bed. Hope that would work out ...

Caught in the Rain

On call today and the admissions had been coming thick and fast. Sorted most of them out and I decided to have an early dinner. Ended up stuck in heavy rain at the Mamak Shop.

It had been pouring cats and dogs for the last half an hour and it didn't show any sign of stopping. Luckily there were not many calls to take, and I decided to enjoy the wait.

Pouring

It rained yesterday. And it rained again today. And it poured. And the rain was certainly welcomed.

I was on call yesterday and spent the morning busy sorting out the admissions and looking for test results. That didn't stop me from joining Anita for lunch at SDCC. Nice dim sum for the afternoon.

Just finished the afternoon round and a quick look outside, and everything was wet. Better start driving back home before the traffic build. An early night was definitely on the cards tonight.
