Bad Evening Traffic
Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 9:58PM I managed to leave the hospital early this afternoon. And it was just as well. Anita left Gombak later than usual and was caught in a bad jam. Combination of people rushing home in time for berbuka plus the rain made for the huge build up.
To make matters worse, Anita got a call from school when Idlan was at his extra class. He was feeling feverish and started being dizzy. His friends to help him by getting him some drinks and bringing him some biscuits. In the end he asked for the teacher to call Anita.
That was before the rain. By the time Anita was approaching Bangsar, he was feeling sicker and finally vomited. He felt better after that but it was another 30 minutes before he reached home.
The traffic just got worse after that and I was lucky that I wasn't called back to the hospital before berbuka. The traffic only improved at around 8 pm, when the rain finally stopped.

Diary And It Finally Rained
Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 9:23PM It had been a really hot couple of days here. This morning was especially warm. Almost unbearable. I took my car for a wash before lunch and thought that the wax would stay on for at least a couple of weeks.
The lunchtime was still hot. Afternoon rounds came and went, after which I had a meeting until almost 7pm.
The car being cleaned earlier in the morningOn the way home, it started to pour. There was almost a flood at the exit of NPE towards Bangsar, and cars were in single file to avoid the water. The rain was really heavy.
There went the wax. But at least tonight would be cool ....
Welcomed Rain
Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 4:59PM The haze had been threatening to hit KL again, and the weather had been really hot lately. Certainly much hotter than before I left for Brisbane, and the rain yesterday afternoon and today really made the difference. I can now feel the air conditioning in the apartment.
And being post-call, all the more reason to just laze out in bed with the TV on .... Let's see what was playing ....
Welcomed Rain
Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:34PM The recent haze was predicted to get worse and any patch of rain would certainly be welcomed as came with it would be a some fresh air and sunshine.
Wee, it did so on Monday when the sky was getting grey and the air had that smell of burnt soot. I was on call and managed to skip to the bank during lunch with Anita. School was closed, so the boys were at home, enjoying an extra few hours in bed.
While we were tucking in, suddenly we heard thunder and soon after the heaven opened. It poured heavily for a good half an hour and soon after, the air was noticeably cleaner.
But that did not last long. By the time I returned home for dinner before my evening round, visibly deteriorated again although not as bad as the first thing in the morning. But, those few hours of fresh air was a respite. Long it may stay that way ...
