Puss in Boots

After a couple of weeks lay, we finally got it together and managed to catch "Puss in Boots". There were no excuse rally after spending almost the week at Sunway Pyramid, we hopped onto the cinema.

Getting the tickets were rather tricky at the beginning as thee were only late shows, except for Thursday. when we shoed up, the movie was marked with the letter B. What did that mean? The lady at the counter did not do a great job explaining. All she said was it was in a special theatre. 3D. No. Just a special seating. She was more interested in which seats we wanted.

It turned out that the B stood for Beaniplex, and all the seatings were actually beanbags. Nice! Irfan enjoyed it so much that he started bouncing up and down on the bag. As for Idlan, he was more worried that the place was cold and went around looking for blankets! It was no Gold Class I was afraid, so blanket for him.

The movie was actually great fun. Enough to entertain both the adults and kids - and the kid in the adult as well. The plot slowed down after the customary grand spectacle, but the pace soon picked up again. I actually rate it higher than Smurfs and Alice in Wonderland in term of plot. But the boys did not really care. The laughed at the jokes and were in awe with the animations.

There were plenty of classic one-liners, and the tie in and the twist of classical children tale was rather clever I thought.

The Beaniplex was also rather good, if only the management took the trouble to explain what it is - not really explaining it verbally, but rather have adverts or leaflets. It was cosy and not too cold. The beanbags could make you slouch rather if you were not careful, but the kids loved it.

A Week Away

The boys were clearly getting bored. As part of the year end, we decided to have some time away. Unfortunately, we couldn't go far this time around. After all, they were back in Kuala Kangsar last weekend.

The plan was to spend the week at Sunway Resort. I will be going to work from there during the week and hopefully the boys would have fun having evening walks, and not to mention fun at the pool. The night lights at Sunway looked great from what I heard.

Nice Pyramid. Sunway Pyramid.

During one of my lunch break recently, I had the chance to have a quick walk around Sunway Pyramid. Again, despite this still being November, the Xmas decorations at the mall was already in full swing. One of the corner foyer - Sunway Pyramid has four such foyers, located at the edges of the square-shaped mall - was packed to the brim with decorations.

It was a mini grotto, complete with a stage for Santa of course and snowman, with fake snow of course. Very nice. It looked like the Xmas decorations this time around would be grander than both Chinese New Year and Hari Raya. Signs of the economy recovering maybe.

The list of activities were not yet out, but I could imagine there would be carol-singing and Santa making appearances. As we would be spending a week in December at Sunway during the school break, we may be able to explore this a bit more, or even venture towards iCity in Shah Alam. Apparently they have an outdoor snow show thee next month. Looking forward to that.

Craving for a Shoot

Looking at the photos on Facebook and Twitter, the Xmas decorations at Pavilion looked awesome. Maybe it was time for me to pay it a visit. Plus the fact that it has been a while since I took my camera out for spin. Unfortunately, there would be another run for birthday parties tomorrow. Again, at Great Eastern Mall. I'll see if I can find time for a couple of hours to walk around Pavilion. Unfortunately. I would be on call next weekend rather.

Looking Forward

Now with Halloween done, and Hari Raya over, the next set of holidays would come around Christmas. As usual, the shopping malls would be abuzz with decorations and activities. I have yet to check Marche would be doing any cooking class this year - our boys usual activities. But that would be after their exams, which were due next week.

The only place I have visited so far with decor was Sunway Pyramid. The walkways were decorated with lights and ornaments. Simple, but cool. Looking forward for Pavilion decor this year. Can it top the last one?
