Winding Down

Just done my last medical call for the year. And was not looking forward to some down time and recollection after a busy 2015. The couple of days of holidays would help although I would still have to do rounds.

Anita and the boys would be going to PD tomorrowand I might join them some time on Saturday if not Sunday. Hopefully the plan works out. Anita wanted to drive the new van by herself.

Today, the boys had a party to attend at one of their friend's. Me? I fancy a day with my camera actually. It had been a while since I went to Low Yat as well. Thought of doing some exploring.

Bad Boys

Again, I was on call but tonight would be the last one for the year. I would be able to take it easier for the next few weeks, at least on the on call front. But the call tonight had been a busy one.

I was still waiting far the last patient to be sent upstairs to the ward. While doing that, it was time for a quick TV. Bad Boys were playing. Really brought back memories.

The New Typecover

The new Surface Pro 4 certainly looked appetising to say the least. Better processor and higher resolution screen. But to be honest, I couldn't really justify an upgrade to my knee year old Surface Pro 3. The old unit was still going strong and the processor was still fast enough, certainly for what ever I was using the computer for.

It was mainly for letters in clinic, the odd email and of course scheduling into my Google Calendar.

But the new types cover which was launched with the new Surface was a big jump from the old one. And the good news was, it was compatible with the old notebook. Great!

It took a while before I could find a store that had it available far sales. So far, they only bundle it with the new Surface. And even harder to find one in black. I guessed I was lucky today and managed to pick one up. Not cheap, but it was certainly worth the investment.

It felt like I now own a new Surface!

Kenduri Done

Alhamdulillah. The event ran smoothly and Idlan did his reading, although he was anxious all through out the event. He was happy to get it over and done with.

He got bored during the Yaseen reading as his feet were aching and he asked to sit beside me. The ceremony was almost done by then. I ended up not being able to take much photos as Idlan asked me to stay near him during the event. He was really nervous.

We spent the rest on the afternoon eating after that and Syahril stayed until after his daughter taken a nap before going home.

All in all, everybody had fun. Idlan was relieved afterwards and asked me to take him to watch Star Wars. That would have to wait until tomorrow I was afraid. I wanted to spent the rest of the day at home with the guests.

Good thing that my Mum's maid would be staying overnight tonight as there were plenty of cleaning needed to be done. I had only about fourth hours sleep last night despite it being post-call and I think I might just doze off early soon.

All Set

Started the ward round really early this morning. It was going to be a big afternoon forward Idlan. We were having a ceremony to celebrate his completion of the Quran, his khatam.

He had been practicing all week and hopefully he wouldn't freak out at the event. Anita had been busy preparing and I did my part in making sure the ward were sorted out early on. Hopefully there wouldn't be many calls coming in.

Another role I would be taking would be being the photographer. So, all the tools were sorted and charged. X-T1 with the 10-24 zoom, X-Pro1 with the 35 f1.4 and the A7R mark II with the 90 macro attached.
