Mixed Bag

It was one of those days which begun so serenely. I was surprised at how smooth the traffic was as I madre my way to Ara Damansara to begin the day with a meeting there. Reached there on time, and the meeting commenced immediately. No time wasted. Great start.

I decided to only do the daily visit at SJ in the afternoon as I have no pressing matter there this morning. So, off I went to Park City. Again, smooth traffic. Where had everybody gone.

Finished my clinic and referral with plenty of time to spare before a meeting at 1 pm. Decided to go to town for lunch, and this was where the day was spoilt. I hit my side mirror on one of the concrete beams reversing out of my parking spot. Sigh!

The rest of the day just went by. Would have to get my side mirror sorted then. Would cost me a bit of money then for the parts. The day could've been better ....... well, it could've been worse ..... Have a good Monday all.

Queuing Skills

Malaysian are generally bad at queuing. Come on! Owned up. Who have not been cut across while queuing. Good practice then as you'd need all the skills to be applied here. If you want the popcorn that is.

Lazy Sunday

Slow day today as I woke up early and took my time. No rush. It was Sunday after all. Breakfast. Showers. And everybody else were still in bed.

Nice relaxing Sunday morning drive to the hospital and finished my ward round in time for early lunch. Decided to have some banana lead rice at Jalan Gasing.

Then came the stop at the apartment to do a bit of cleaning and sorting out the mess at my office. I had to get all the paperwork in order and settle the bills.

By the time I reached home, it was well before 3 pm. Unfortunately it was raining outside. The plan was to take the boys out for an afternoon drive after they did their revision. It looks like we had to go somewhere indoors for dinner tonight.

Deepavali at Pavilion

After attending the wedding this afternoon, I had a few hours of free time to venture into town. I also had some bills to settle as well as banking in some cheques. Anita had her hands full with the boys and their revision, so I went out alone.

As usual, I parked at KLCC and walked across the bridge towards Pavilion and onwards towards Bukit Bintang and Low Yat.

Weather today was warm but not sunny. Traffic was also lighter than expected, the mall was also less packed but the colours were definitely there with Deepavali next weekend.

The main foyer at Pavilion was not transformed for the festivities - but I was sure it would soon for Xmas. The entrance though had some pretty decorations.

Quite enjoyed the walk to wards Fahrenheit. I though I snap a few photos at the main entrance for keeps.

An Important Win

It has been a while since I rang about football. Truth be told, the last few Saturday nights had been agony. Somehow, the mojo seemed to be lost in the closet in the last few months and winning seemed to take more than just effort. But tonight, hopefully the turnaround win would galvanize the team and would be the first step in finding our mojo back.

I had to admit that little Adnan made the impact tonight. Since coming in, we seemed to be more balanced as a team, and the pace of the attack seemed to pick up. I thought that Carrick were the one who tended to slow the lace down, but Cleverley was clearly was not clever last night. He was the weak link.

With Adnan replacing Nani - who had a promising opening few moments before fleeting off the game when Stoke scored - and Rooney dropping into midfield when Chicarito took over from Cleverley, we started to tick. As soon as the equaliser arrived, there was only one winner. And Chica did not disappoint.

It nay just appear to be a home win on paper, but the manner of the victory meant a lot for the team's morale. We need to cope better physically - Stoke was just plain nasty at times - and must be stronger at important moments of games. Hopefully this win would be the turning point to David Moyes' reign at Old Trafford.
