Flickr Playing Up?

Since yesterday, the upload speed onto Flickr was abysmally slow. Add to that, it sometimes uploaded duplicates, and the geotagging failed as well. In fact, if you go onto the website, it would highlight that the photos were taken at "a mysterious place with no name".

Were they having this glitch as part of their upgrade work. I must say that I like the new look Flickr, and the galleries and groups pages were had also had a make-over.

I tried uploading using a few devices and the results were just the same. My Blackberry upload actually resulted in 5 duplicates. Speed-wise were the same across all platform - as in slow - despite using a 30 MBit connection. Hopefully the problem would be sorted out soon. I have plenty of upload coming during Raya period ....

Give me Strength

Even though I was looking forward to my week off from tomorrow afternoon, I dread the chunk of errands Anita had in store for me. I saw her drafting a list to last night, and I knew she would prefer me to do the driving around town for her rather than our driver. And personally, I also got things in wanted to do. I have yet to visit my Mum close to a couple of weeks now. Maybe I'll drop by to see her tomorrow after work. She would also like to have me drive her around I was sure.

One look at my table was enough to get me depressed. I have receipts and letters needed looking through. Luckily all my bills were done on the net, so most of them were already sorted. So, I'd probably spent this evening clearing up the room and my table. It was messy!

The table was in a mess ....No chance for a rest until the weekend I thought - but that was when the rumah terbuka really kicked off. More traveling and lost sleep looking at it. Thanks God my next working day after that would be the Wednesday after the weekend. Straight into an on call mind you.

Internet Revamping

It looked like ParkCity had made some changes as far as Internet access were concerned. We still get free Internet, but only with registered devices. So, I had to call the IT department and get my stuffs to be made legal!

But the officer was tied up this morning and I wasn't in the mood to wait. I'll catch up with them next week.when I return from my Raya break.

Since the hospital operate as a paperless unit, it made sense to secure the Internet and Intranet Web access. We can't afford to have a third party snooping into the system, prying on patients details and worth still, hack the notes and the various results system. It would create havoc as we didn't have a paper backup to access these data readily. A nightmare should the system be hacked.

The place also looked extra empty today. I only.had a couple of patients to see and was done by 11 am. Things were already winding down for the Raya break I guess.

Give me the Mendy

Yesterday, Anita ordered in for Berbuka at the apartment and she asked for chicken mendy to be delivered. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The rice was plane, and the chicken looked like it was cooked the night before. As for the salad? The less mentioned the better.

Naturally, she wanted the real deal today. And the best chicken mendy that was accessible easily was from Al Rawsha near Bulatan Pandan. We stopped by there on our way back from the apartment to Gombak.

The oven smelt real niceThe place was still emptyIt was just before 4 pm, but there was already people waiting for take-outs. Since the menu was pretty standard, we didn't have to wait for long as most of the items were pre-prepared.

The table was already laid-out for the berbuka buffet a bit later. Most if the table had already had stickers on them, indicating they were already reserved.

And the take-out was ready .....So, we ordered the chicken mendy, some kebabs and salad. And it cost less than what we paid fir the delivery the evening before.

I stuffed myself on the chicken and rice, and by the tins I was ready for tarawikh, I could even open my eyes anymore. Too much cholesterol I was sure. Can't have the mandy too often .....

Cuti Raya Day-4

The day finally came that we had to return back to Gombak. The boys were certainly not looking forward to that but with the Raya just found the corner, it had to be done.

So, the morning was filled with cleaning and packing. Not much, but enough that we required a couple of trips hauling all the gears across. First thing was to get the boys back to Gombak, and our maid to start unpacking. Anita and I then returned to the apartment for the second time, making sure all the stuffs were taken back.

At Taman MelawatiThe cempedak looked tempting!We then went about getting food for berbuka. Today, we went to Al Rawsha. Anita was craving for chicken mendy. Will blog about that afterwards. Next stop was pasar Ramadan at Melawati as usual. That was mainly for the drinks. It had been a really hot day today, and by the time we were ready for berbuka, I really felt it. I was dehydrated. Pounding headache and all.

So, we were enjoying our first night back in Gombak. Hopefully, they would be going to bed earlier than what they were used to at the apartment. I need my sleep .....
