What would it be?

The excitement is almost unbearable. The rumours about iPhone breaking down everywhere were rife. Come tomorrow …. in fact in a few hours time, the new iPhone would be unveiled! Appropriately, the Apple Store was currently down for maintenance, and that can only be one thing ….

I was just wondering if it would just be the iPhone. Would they also announce a new line-up of iMac - which was in need of refreshing, since I was looking for one. It was pretty clear that what ever phone Apple would launch tomorrow, I would definitely going to get it …… And I have already told Puan Anita about that ……

Fingers crossed …… Unfortunately I would be on call tomorrow. Not going to bed to stay up for the announcement would not be a choice ….

King of the Road

At least the notice were up over the weekend that the NPE would be closed. No, I did not join the race although a few of my colleagues did. By the time I left the hospital at 11 am, the highway had already been cleared and cleaned up, with practically no traffic.

King of the Road, is a yearly 16km run along the New Pantai Expressway held every year at around September. Not exactly a half marathon at 16km. There were a few ramps to get you going along the way, starting off in Bangsar, with the finishline at Sunway Pyramid.

What Sidemirror?

It was annoying when you were involved in a road traffic accident especially when it no fault of your own. Well, that was what happened with Anita last week when our side mirror was knocked off by a Korean parent at school driving past us while waiting to pick Idlan up.

Initially she wanted to settled without any Police reports, but upon finding out how much it would cost, she wanted to make an insurance claim. That meant a trip to the Police Station. Twice! And then, the wait for insurance clearance. Annoying stuff.

It had been a week. And things were yet to be settled. And now with Irfan being unwell, that would have to wait a little bit longer.

It turned out that the car was parked illegally when the accident happened. The Korean mother got away scott-free! Damn!

A Different Start

For the first time the boys started a school day at the apartment, and needing to travel - against the traffic mind you - to Gombak for school. Anita woke up extra early, and we got the the boys up for shower at 6.30.

We were bracing ourselves for war, but it turned out that the boys were excited. Idlan even planned to have a nap in the MPV on the way to Sri Utama. Let's see if their enthusiasm held for another couple of days.

Hopefully Irfan would be OK at school. He could pass urine last night without much pain, but at school, it might be a different story. Hopefully no drama …..

Good Luck Imran

It seems that Imran - my nephew - would be the first of my Mum's grandchildren to be taking a major school exams. The UPSR starts tomorrow, and after getting a decent result in the trials, I was sure he would be fine.

I still owe him that birthday present though. Anyhow. Good luck Imran!
