More Talks

Checked in and now listening to a dinner symposium. Or at least I was trying to. Need to get on with dinner, then finish of my slides. I probably need another couple of hours work before things were sorted.

It was nice catching up with old colleagues. Most I then were here, but I must say, the temptation to go out into town was really high.

The talks so far had been OK, although some of them were rather dry. Hungry though. Must. Listen. To. Talk.

Roti First

Breakfast. Roti telur. Before setting off to Melaka. Great idea. I might as well do that as the traffic turning out from Subang Jaya would be murder at this hour. It was just before 8.30 am when I was done with the ward round and thought it was far too early to set off just yet.

I have a few items to pick up from the apartment as well. So, Bangsar, then off to Melaka! Woohoo!

Calling it the Day

Finally calling it the day after reading through my materials for my talk on Saturday afternoon in Melaka. I will be driving there tomorrow morning after I complete my ward rounds, planning to reach there by lunch. Hopefully, my room would be ready by the time I reach there.

I plan to get up extra early tomorrow to finish my slides after what had been a long day after rushing for the BLS exams and sorting out my clinic patients and admissions. The slides form Melaka still need beefing up but I'm sure things would be ready in time. All I need is just a couple of hours sorting things out. Hopefully thy would come in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I would be driving to the hospital after the mining rush hour, sort out the patients, and then I should be off. Planning my next entry after reaching there.

Mornings at the College

In the last couple of mornings, things got a bit hectic withe having to drive over to the Sime Darby Nursing College after my ward rounds to attend a Basic Life Support course. Thank God, it was done now.

The College is about 5 km away, and one could reach there in 10 minutes if the traffic was kind. Unfortunately, the turn off Kewajipan into KESAS was legendary. The traffic Police would hold us for 10 minutes at a time to let the traffic flow. I was unlucky to be caught behind the queue and the wait was excruciating!

The course itself was well-run, and things were rather awkward with me being the only Doctor there. I did learn a few new things though as recently, the American College had updated their CPR algorithms. Reading about it was clearly different from cruelly sitting through a course, complete with practical and exams.

So, now, I was done. Clinic, then ward round before packing for Melaka tomorrow.

Heavy One

For some reason, the traffic was unbelievably bad this morning. And this was even when I left just after 7. Leaving any earlier would've been a big ask.

It was usually fine, but today was an exception. It's going to be even worst tomorrow as I would be at the Nursing College for a course in Shah Alam. I might as well leave a message to say that I would be late!

At least the weather was nice and sunny and I had my podcasts to keep me entertained.
