Bagpipes at The Curve

The last time I checked, bagpipes were a Scottish tradition. So, I was rather confused when last weekend, while the place was abuzz with St Patrick's Day - just another excuse for people getting drunk - The Curve had a group of bagpipers playing at the main walkway. Quite interesting.

They appeared to be a school ban and they were still playing when we left just before 10 pm last Friday evening. The fun thing was, try were playing contemporary music, from Lady Gaga, to Coldplay. Great stuff!

F1 is here. Just about.

Rather than spending the morning at the apartment after the rounds, I decided to head to Starbucks as I have a lecture to prepare for next weekend. The place was only 10 minutes away from the hospital. So, I thought I light as well just hang around there.

There, I saw a F1 car by the lobby. No, not Ferrari, but one of the newer entry to the Formula, a team from Russia I think. It seems that the F1 fever finally hitting KL although the fact that the organiser made a big mess with the concerts seemed to have put a dampener onto things. Will I be going to Sepang? Hell no! If only there were trains from KL Sentral heading straight to the circuit, then I would definitely consider it .....

Attack of the Ninja Bomb!

These bombs are so cute. Couldn't remember where I picked them from, but I had had them for at least a couple of months. They were rather irresistible aren't they.

For the uninitiated, these toys are from "Fruit Ninja", a popular iPad game, at least a popular one in our household. Try it .....

Back to Football

I decided to start my afternoon rounds slightly earlier, to make time for the take-out and football. I had a quick nap an woke up with a banging headache. Not amusing.

Anita went to do a bit I groceries next door at Wangsa Walk while I waited for the order. Tandoori and mee ladna as usual. Man United would be playing Wolves this evening, and after the disappointment of Bilbao, was expected to crush the opposition. So, hopefully we could get ourself sorted out on the field. We couldn't afford any more slip up.

Not an easy Sunday Morning

The call yesterday started slowly but as I predicted, it would pick up later. By this morning, I could do with an extra couple of hours in bed. But there are patients waiting I'm afraid.

The plan for the morning would be to catch a quick breakfast, finish the round, join my colleague who would be away tomorrow for a hand-over of his patients, back on time for lunch with Puan Anita and the kids.

I will let Puan Anita plan the afternoon as by early evening, I would have to return to the hospital for more ward rounds. Then returning in time for the Manchester United kick off. It would not be all rest today I'm afraid.
