The Morning After

So, I finally dragged myself out of bed. I have decided to drive in late to avoid the morning traffic. I didn't have any inpatients however, do I could go straight to start the clinic. Which is handy.

The boys were also slow to get out of bed. The delay yesterday during the drive back due to the overturned lorry was taking a toll.

After work today, there would be a small matter of a birthday dinner. Irfan was six today .....

Back in KL

After being held up behind an accident just after Kulai - an overturned lorry blocking both lanes - we finally arrives in Gombak just after 8. Unloading, shower and then dinner, followed by uploading and sorting of my photos from the trip.

All together, I took more than 500 snaps, mostly on the X100. The photos I've uploaded so far on Facebook and blog were taken on the iPhone. Now, I may need to reedit the posts to resize the photos and insert new ones. That would take some doing.

It would be a busy couple of weeks. After going back to work, I will be traveling again on
Saturday. This time, back to my old college - MRSM Terendak - for a session with the students.

Then, on call on Sunday ......

Stop Over

We decided to break the journey by stopping at the Johor Premium Outlets. It was better than I anticipated but clearly the place is a work in progress with most of the shops being a couple of months old. They were still doing the carpark and not all the outlets were opened as yet.

None the less, I got myself a Man United long sleeve top for RM150. Certainly you can't beat that. According to the girl at the till, the price varies day by day, and it certainly is cheaper during weekdays like today.

The message got through to Puan Anita. So, here we go .....

Checking Out

So, we were done with the packing. Time to check out, the usual time when I have a mini heart attack settling the bills. The package we had was reasonable, although we could have utilised the facilities a bit more. Three days with a couple of boys in Singapore could never be enough. We did not even have time for proper shopping.

Checking out was also straight forward. We would then have another drive to Tuas before heading back home. We would be stopping over at the Premium Outlet in Kulaijaya for lunch.

Goodbye Singapore!

A Morning Stroll

So, the packing was done. I did only some in the early morning before having to go out to top up the toll card. The nearest 7-Eleven from the hotel was across the bridge at the bottom of the Singapore Flyer. A 5 minutes walk in bright sunshine, with a breathtaking view of the city across the marina.

I stroll into the Shoppe - the shopping mall opposite the Sands, where the casino is located. Then out via the promenade by the museum. Then a nice stroll across the pedestrian walkway towards the Youth Olympic Park. A right turn towards the Flyer, and I was already on the track used for the Formula 1 night race. There were a few cyclers enjoying their morning ride. I wish I could do that as well.

Now it was a trek back to the hotel for breakfast. A nice stroll indeed.
