At the Apartment

I decided to spent the evening at the apartment since I was called out to the hospital and was too tired to take the drive back to Gombak late in the evening. Added to that, I will be heading out to ParkCity for my morning clinic. Even though I prefer to head back, I knew I would feel too tired. Plus having to wake Anita up to let me in. Too much hassle since it would be pass the boys' bedtime.

That also meant that I would be missing my tub of asam which my Mum bought from Sungai Petani. I ate so much of the stuff earlier that I felt thirsty even now....... that's not going to be good for my gastritis as well I was sure.

Work Started

I stopped by at the apartment this lunchtime to have a look at the work being done there to plug the leak. The leak had unfortunately cause the parquet flooring to peel out and gone soggy. These needed replacing as well. So, the work was a bit more complicated to make sure the aesthetics of things were maintained.

Today, the affected parquet were removed, and put onto a pile while waiting for replacement parts. Not sure how much longer that's going to take, but it better be sorted out before we start moving in our stuffs proper.

At least the place was kept neat. There were hardly any dust about.

Easy Afternoon

After the morning clinic, I went straight to the lounge and turned on the TV. And before long, I was fast asleep, waking up right after 2 pm. Time for some referrals and afternoon round, and with the myalgia still in full blast, I drove off to the apartment since I have some paperwork and photocopying to do.

It was nice to have some quite time in the afternoon without much interruptions. And best of all, it was raining heavily outside in Bangsar, leaving me alone in peace with a nice cool breeze.

Work was done, I heated some soup before leaving for Gombak - a drive which took close to an hour due to combination of MRT and rain. My fever came back by the time I reached home. Sigh!

Lazy Monday

As we cancelled our plan to leave the apartment on Sunday, the boys had an extra day in Bangsar - their school would only open Tuesday after a week break. So, after my morning round and clinic at ParkCity, I head straight back to join them for lunch. And they were just woken up then. Lazy boys!

So, we had some lunch at the apartment before I set off again for the afternoon clinic back at Subang. Anita was feeling under the weather, waking up with bad sore throat and body ache. No fever this time, but she did feel awful.

The boys was already back in Gombak when I finished the clinic and I joined straight back to join them. It looked like Anita may need t see an ENT colleague for there sore throat ….

Rain!

The original plan was to have an afternoon by the pool this afternoon after coming back from lunch. But, soon after we returned, the heaven opened and it was raining heavily at the apartment. And with the rain, the urge to sleep was too great, and I was soon snoring away in front of the TV … why not eh?
